the camera angle was poor on those pics

here is a few new pics taken around 5 days after the other batch

this one still in 32oz cup...needs to be transplanted asap...but no extra room at this time

starting to see noticable new growth pretty much daily now

short and thick...I've been keeping them further away from the my lights then normal...hoping to make them strech out a bit more...but the DC's don't seem to want to play along

Deep Chunk

Deep Chunk

Everything you guys said so far is true.
Deep Chunk has to be the Hardest Strain to Root I have run across.

Dont top it! Very Low Yield, you won't be buying Baby New Shoes with this one.

I had a hell of a time in VEG with Deep Chunk...... Once in flower it was a Breeze! Flowers very Quick and Easy. Not much smell durring growing.

It's Nute fussy, so carefull of Over doing it. Also Mold could be an issue with Deep Chunk Keep a Sharp Eye out for Mold.

I had 95% Germ Rate, and 6 Females out of 9 Plants. No Hermies ( Rock Soild on that! )

Deep Chunk is not easy to care for, I think she is kinda High maintenance.
But once in flower Deep Chunk pertty much takes care of it's self.

In My opinion.... Deep Chunk is a great Breeders Strain. It has a Nice Hashy Flavor to Chocolate. Not Sweet or Flowery, Make Great Hash!
But I don't think Deep Chunk has Much for a HIGH.

It didn't last long and was Mild at best.
Unless your Breeding, or a Connoisseur looking for New Adventure, or just a grower who likes to grow different Strains, then Get Deep Chunk.

But if your just growing to get Smoke for your self and some friends try the Cripple Creek. Better Price to Buzz Ratio!

Deep Chunk in My Opinion.... Is not for Beginners! ( I should Know! )
A Bitch in Veg.
Slow to root.
Easy in Flower.
VERY LOW Yield...... 1/2 Oz per Plant, More if you dont top em!
Not much in the High Department. Although I hear reports it grate for Pain!
Stable as a Rock, very little variation, No Hermies.

Please keep in Mind, I stressed the Hell of these in Veg. I was still less than a year growing when i got the Deep Chunk. So I did a lot stuff wrong. Got about 2 years of Grow Experience in 6 months, so it was worth it. ( Just in Cloning! )

If you want to see a lot of Pic of Deep Chunk, thats my test thread here.

Good Luck.

Sin knows what he is talking about :joint:

I never got to truly test the high of this smoke as my only mother was seeded and provided little in the way of test samples, but, i am revisiting her now to grow out a few more seeds to finally see what unseeded smoke is like and i cant wait.

This is what she displayed in flower last time...she is very pretty, but very low yeilding unless you give her a long ass veg time imo, and i agree with not topping, but i did end up removing one or two side branches down low to make more room in the cab as those leaves got freaking HUGE.

well my experience with DC has been top notch, very good head and body. clean high, very medicatin. heavy hash smoke, very pleasin to smoke. my body feels heavy from it.

i keep a cripple creek mom as I like the slight sweet pinet taste better. both have killer highs. 58 to 60 days I think its best, you dont get the good purp color until late in flower when the bud becomes serious couch weed, nighttime pot.

I,ve seen Maddog and CBFs Deep Chunk Grows

I,ve seen Maddog and CBFs Deep Chunk Grows

In threads of course and I have to say they both
had Better runs of it than I did, so.....

I sent some small sample to a member..
They Remarked it was perhaps the 2nd best Smoke they Ever had!
Was very good Medication for her. So I wont Slam Deep Chunk for it's high.
Perhaps it reacts differently on people? Then again my tolarance at the time was rather High too!

I'll grow Deep Chunk again and do a better Job of it.
This Strain was always 1 step ahead of me. Now I know what to expect
from her. With out so much undue stress on them, i'm sure I'll get a Better
End Product.

hey Sin, body chemistry plays a big part in the high you experience for sure. and yeah stressed plants arent much fun to smoke, i know :D

I just finished a bubba kush and tried some bud a week in the jar, man nighty night, really dont like it, feel retarded from it, day ender for me.

Deep Chunk is like any other strain, you have to find the best of the best. also somethin to remember is the batch of seed. not every batch is the same, and the beans i received were straight from tom. they were big phat dark striped beans. seems lots of seed about is blonde? Ive made seed with both DC and cripple creek, and they come out blonde, some stipein. you really have to let the plant go long for dark seed.

all of THs stuff, PTK were very good IMO. have his haze goin now, its not a whimpy sally, plants are big heavy sals, lol.
