charlie garcia, I just began reading this thread (page 2) but, I would like to say hello.
I recently obtained some Nepalese seeds, am a new grower and sure could use your wisdom so I can treat this strain well.
I also obtained some Ethiopian Highland seeds with the notion of allowing any males to remain and produce seeds. So far I have two Nepali and three Ethiopian in various ages of veg.
Any help you could offer about either strain would be greatly appreciated.

Hola Owl mirror

Dont know which type of nepalese you got there but basically do quite easely, and wont ask for many cares. Growing indoors may change a bit, are not used to it so its an stress for them. Watch out always for bananas when moving a landrace indoors enviroment. For the rest, use to be really easy going lines, not much feeding, never overfeed with N

Same goes for Ethiope, some sativas prefer you let them go with not much nutes and low N requirements. Love guanos and kelpt for flowering and light soil mixes if going with dirt. This is a thinner line, not much production but not much stretch either unless you start with plenty room for roots. Use to be better to start maintaining pots or root area not too large to avoid unnecesary stretching. Wish best luck, sativas require more patient from growers but demand so little cares

Camacho, hope you fixed the watering issue and can work with lower EC. They look fantastic at this step. Hope they flower well to you. As you are familiar with Uzbezki lines, Chunbeki must grow well in your hands. Wish best, let us know

raco thats one of the best looking phenos. Hope to work soon deeper some more uzbeki crosses like Chunbeki, X18Uzbek, Nepal/Uzbek and so plus Neeples, X18/Chitral and a few more related lines. Nice results so far, all so tasty and potent hope they are worth the efforts

best to all

Thanks charlie !
I am hopeful to grow outdoors in the future.
I live at LAT 45 and am attempting to breed these two strains to prosper outdoors in our environment. I've read the Nepalese lines are not bothered by cold, even snow and finish under those conditions.
If I am able to get the flower length to match the length of season we experience here along the US/Canadian border. Do you think this is a possibility ?

Depends, all depends on what and where you got them from and what you find in your germed plants. Really hard to say with not more references. Dpending on area they were picked up, they will stand cold conditions bit better or not ast all. There is plenty and plenty of cannabis in Nepal, wild, less wild and more domesticated and guess many fields will show such variations

So again, hard to reply accurately. Growing and selecting are the keys for any job. Watch what you find and study results, take conclusions about flowering trigger dates, phenos, potency, yields, sex variations and so on.

Hope first tests go well
Wish you best luck, hope you enjoy them well

Always good to see you posting charlie!

Yes, Owl Mirror, too many variables to know for sure, but also a good chance for success.
The Nepali Reeferman sold did ok in canada (BC) and that's what's in ACE's Nepjam. which finishes for me in the NE US. (early Oct.)
My friend G.A. used a nepalese that had been acclimated to the netherlands for 20 yrs, crossing it w/ another reliable dutch strain, Viking to produce Purple Peace. This finishes in my area 3rd wk of sept.
I used some Nepjam pollen to pollinate some Purple Peace and G.A. has one rocking his balcony in the link below. 2nd pic in post #2503 the one in the big planter box w/ sunflower. I'm excited watching this one grow, and will be dropping my beans next yr!

Hi again Charlie, well my two Nepali plants were both Male.
I collected some pollen and used some to paint a few preflowers on my Mazar I Shariff. I can see about a dozen seed pods so far, the plant only began flowering about two weeks ago.
Do I understand correctly that this Deep Chunk is an Indica from basically the same region ? Maybe my cross will be similar to your Neeples ?
I also had an accident pollination while trying to gather the Nepali pollen which resulted in my clone Master Kush x White Widow getting pollinated.
I have no idea how that cross would work out but, I guess I'll see in the spring ;>}

I am also waiting on my 3 Ethiopian plants to show sex. If I get a male, I will paint a few buds on the Mazar with that too and keep track of how well that cross takes.
I am assuming I should tie a ribbon on the branches so I can keep track of which seeds belong to which cross.
Thanks for all the help !
