We have snow here in the UK! Yuck

Just noticing that a lot of Spanish growers don't seem to trim their buds, just remove the fan leaves. Do you smoke the bud leaf or do you remove it prior to smoking the bud?

i think the fact most spanish outdoor growers get huge harvests and its very time consuming to clean them out directly. most people seem to take of the biggets fan leaves, hang the plant up whole, and then when its dryish they put it in jars.

later when smoking a lot of smokers pick off the leaf and throw it unlless as bacchus says - if its got a lot of resin :D i smoke it too :D

but it never harms to let the leafs's resin mature a good while before the inevitable hash and oil projects :D for me i dont care unlless im buying - then i get pissed off from a lot of leaf.. hehe :D

i think if a leaf has more than 50% resin coverage - it actually is hash with a bit of vegetal polution hehehe :D

peace

I read this today & remembered this mountain
farmer.

Her soils look very rich & well cared for.........

Why is Hemp Good for Nepal?

Hemp is an extraordinary plant. Native to Nepal, hemp grows in almost any conditions, needs no fertilisers or pesticides, and flourishes in Nepal's difficult terrain. It grows well at high altitude and on marginal land, actually replenishing the soil with vital nutrients. Its roots bind the soil together, helping to prevent soil loss and landslides on Nepal's fragile slopes.

Farmers have grown hemp on their land for generations, they have knowledge about harvesting and spinning the yarn, using the traditional 'tooth-and-spindle' method. The farmers can sell hemp yarn and cloth for a cash income.

Around the home and farm the plant is prized as a fibre because of its strength and durability. Its leaves and sap are used as a painkiller and sedative, while the roots make medicine for burns and other wounds. Roasted hemp seeds, a traditional hilly snack, contain a host of essential nutrients - a useful addition to an often poor diet.

Hemp is an ideal biomass fuel with a high cellulose content. Hemp can be compacted into burnable briquettes to fuel stoves and heat homes. Using renewable hemp fuel would save both firewood and the labour involved in collecting it.

Hemp in the mountains…

* helping to prevent landslides
* replenishing soil
* possible alternative fuel
* yarn and cloth sold for extra
income
* extra source of nutrition

i'm pretty sure hemp stalk can be made into charcoal
to replenish and improve the soil but perhaps that's a luxury for them.

low temp conversion of stalk into charcoal must give off some waste heat
product
or other usefull benefit sinced people been making charcoal for ages.
