Deep Chunk x Highland Nepalese F1

Hola amigos

Thanks Raco for this funny and inspiring thread... as you said, once we were looking at an old Sacred Seed catalogue (thx Highlighter) we decided to play some fun recreating some of the old crosses being done in the 80's... was fun to see some hybrids like Nepal/Haze or some Afghani/Nepal and things like that not being done anymore presently.. or not very often at least... well, we had the tools for this recreations so some Haze/Nepal or DC/Nepal beans were done, as well as some Mexican Verde Limon/Nepal. I am presently working as well for ACE the other side of this Haze/Nepal hybrid changing parentals position, so Nepal/Haze is in the schedule among the very best Nepalese Highland females (3rd generation here) I could find and a Haze male from OT lines.

Nepalese came from Reeferman in a genetics exchange we made and its been showing us some very nice things since the beginning. Its been used at Nepal Jam from ACE crossed with Jamaican... I love this type of sativa high, clear, energetic and creative. They finish outdoors ending October... In the case Raco shows and talks, Nepalese used with Haze was a strongly structured male. Haze female came from offspring of female Haze#1 and male Haze#6, some of the selected individuals we got from original Haze project.

We ignore parentals influence so this thread will show us how they turn out to be... being untested individuals, everything is possible but I hope can bring at least some fun.

I leave here some Nepalese pics
Later
best
charlie

Charlie, sounds like good plans. I'm especially interested to see how the Verde Limon x Nepal turns out.

Y'all think about "Verde Limon x Haze"?

I pull out a chair for this one also.
Already have the Nepalese and should be getting DC beans also very soon.
This cross crossed my mind also so ill be watching one.

Should be getting Nepalese Jam beans also very soon and crossing NJ also with DC could be fun.

Aw, charlie, that last shot gets me everytime! Those seemingly translucent pistils make it the sexiest pot ever to me!
The odds seem stacked against it, but I'm hoping 1st hand to see a Nepalese dominant pheno.
Hoping all that are gifted these beans will all be posting results when the time comes. This sharing of genetics, for the love of it, make threads like this the happiest of all! I thank you both! :respect:

Awesome thread. Thanks for posting the grow show, Raco :D I am gonna have to wait until next year to pop some of these. My plate is full right now. I would suspect the Nepalese strain is the same one used in Reeferman's Willie Nelson(Nepalese X Vietnam Black), which would be Awesome.

hehehhe dont move her to a big pot till she has budsites :bashhead: Lovely raco, she's real healthy for being grown in a small pot. That's the way!

Nepalese highland has produced real nice equilibrated hybrids when crossed with other sativas. Deep Chunk x Nepalese sounds also real yummy :yummy:
Best wishes for grow!

Bacchus WN f2´s are very nice...and dubi also made great crosses with the HL Nepalese lines :D

"Haze female came from offspring of female Haze#1 and male Haze#6, some of the selected individuals we got from original Haze project"

charlie,
thx for the clarification!!
So...the Haze 1 x 6 male that hit the XVIII is of the exact same lineage than the 1 x 6 female? :D

Raco, everything you have is so photogenic, you have beautiful plants and great projects past and present. Your skills are top notch. Good luck with this project and keep us updated, those Sativas must love the sun in that part of the world. Keep it Green. Holla back!! :D

I have a few of those Apple Pie!!

All I can think of since reading that, is growing out those and some of the Verde Limon X Nepal, and letting them co-mingle. Bacchus? :D

Hola :)

"The Nepalese displays intermediate traits", yes male used as seen in the picture was more on the intermediate trait you mean. DC/Nepal expected here should go on the indi side in its looking. I guess can be done in 9-10 weeks. Have never worked TH DC before so I dont know how will perform. Anyhow for more dominant cross at the nepal side there will be more posibilities maybe using DC males and selected sativa nepal females.. but thats another story :)

Ganico, many things can be done. Mexican Verde Limon has the quality clean uplighting high of mexicans but maybe its not always so so potent .Will need strong selection. Anyhow very fast line and in crosses will add hybrid vigour. To check out results for now, is been crossed with same nepalese male, not with Haze yet. Also Haze could have been already crossed to DC... but step by step :) Some of you guys have the tools or the lines now so its yor turn to move piece and be creative ;)

Raco, same Haze male was used, a pollen machine, very healthy male used to reinforce female #1 traits. Hope X18 has time yet to form a few seeds for this X-Haze. In fact same hazes are making a second crop in a row which talks well about their health at least hehe. All pure indicas seen around we've been playing with are good candidates to match this Haze line, Nepal line or or the Panaman line we work (or even Raco's Columbian one!) ... I had the chance to follow some different Panaman hybrid influences and all worked great must say. Short ago Raco smoked some India/Congo x Panama (Silver Bullets) I am working with for CBG and can talk about it... I really like it... a lot ;) and it has lots of panaman personality... but as said before, step by step, time, time, time, selection, selection, selection. To open new lines is more or less an easy fact.. to select later takes lots of time.

I think Algarbo has switched its plant to 12/12 since the beginning so he will got some very short individuals as DC had not "neck" to stretch lol

Saludos a todos/regards to all

Charlie, are there any pics of the "MexVL x Nepal"? Isn't the Nepal short flowering as well?
Real interested in that cross

And what about that strain "Silver Bullets" (India/Africa x S.America) goddamn, it just sounds like I need that one, haha. What's the details on that?
