Very nice DC and crosses peeps. Sorry no pics here either but that may change. We have some DC crosses hanging about and even a few started at my bros house. I'll pop in with seedling/young plant pics of some Crunk Chunk (TW X DC) as I promised to do HeHeHe. smokAteers NH X DC is the real deal as I have finished 1 of these Indoors and was Very pleased with the results. Great head and body effects. Thanks Caesar!
dont want to bust any balls here but i heard from someone that urkle is a dc cross, so an urkle x dc would just be a backcross?? anyone else in the know hear this or anything similar. DC was very appealing to me at first but the more i think about its mixed stories regaurding its horrible growth patterns the less i care about it, even though i would still like some dc pollen as i know it is quality genetics, just the mothers might not be for me.
Two days till harvest!!! Can hardley wait. Went for the full 65 days. Did a test bud last night, and O'boy this should be a good winter. The plant is about 4 ft. and is in a makeshift greenhouse. The pictures dont do the purple justice (sorry).
Thanks gang. Real happy with the way it has grown.smOkateer4204. The picture is of a side bud. The main cola is quit big for what I expected from the DC.I'll try and get a pict. of the entire plant today and give you all a look. It has a rather earthy and leatherish taste to it, with a good high too boot.
all these amazing dc pics really make me wish i had ordered some. i recently had a chance to try it, and it was definately far superior to any modern afghani offering ive sampled from other seed companies. is there anywhere that still has beans?
3 fems, 2 males, plus some cinderella, wonder 99, wonder haze and arjans haze to cross pollinate.
and yes to the mold probs. the seeds were moldy when germing, I washed them prior to planting but the 2nd batch of 5 I germed never left the soil but slimed on me.
I thinking, keep dry, the leaves are so rugged, it holds water like no other leaves in my garden. After spraying ventilate dry fast. Beware of light burn too.
yea i was talking about mold in the flowering stages.
i experienced some bad mold with the dc while growing it outdoors.. tho i understand the logic: I had one serious bush of the dc indoors growing in pretty harsh conditions. it was mid august (hardcore heat outside) + 2/400w blasting in a pretty small space.. AND it was very hard to control the humidity inside, so it would always be around the 40%.. all that and the dc didn't get moldy.
outdoors with all the wind both the dc's got moldy, and i had to chop the top colas (decreased yield by 60% ).
part of the cola turned completely dead-brown, inside the mold was hairy greyish-white with black dots on the main stalk.
i find it necessary to trim the DC just for avoiding any chance of moist being trapped between the leaves and buds.
