I finally got ahold of some Deep Chunk beans and plan on growing them out this fall/winter. I've done lots of searches and found lots of great info on the strains, but I want more. So for anyone who has grown the Deep Chunk please feel free to post pics and grow info, techniques, etc.. Lets make this a tribute for Tom and Bub for releasing this awesome strain to the world. Bring on the chunks.

I do feel lucky having this wonderful strain in my collection (thanks to a very generous grower). I'll be sure to make lots of seeds to preserve this strain as long as I'm living. I always wanted a 100% pure Indica for breeding purposes and I feel DC is one of the best.

deepchunk is killer!

i have two DC x X18 outdoors. short and leafy.. you'll have to trim some leaf to expose the inner bud sites.
the DC has such dense buds!...sometimes even too damn dense!!
I have mold problems with it outdoors. I'm couple weeks before harvest, i found couple dead-dry areas on the main cola, when i revealed the inside I saw white-greyish mold..
i had to cut all the infected buds
so becareful of mold! it grows GOD DAMN CHUNKY...!

also be ready for some extra smelly shitters, the plant REEKS. especially when you harvest and trim all the bud. mine smells like rotten meat / floral / sweetcandy / pine..


dont harvest the DC early btw, you'll want to stretch it till all the leaves are purple and trichs are amber / brown.

I plan on vegging the DC for about 8 weeks before flipping to flower. I found that they grow very slow and a two months is like a month on most strains. I can't wait to see some frosty dense purple nugs.

What's the deal with the leaves on all the deep chunk pictures I've seen?

They all seem to have that strange bit on the bottom of the leaves where they meet the buds.
Is it just the leaves curling round or are they thc crystals?

Or maybe a bit of both?

Dc is for sure one damn fine strain for breeding ... , its very slow to veg , i vegged my girl (its the rare sativa leaning pheno) for 10 weeks under 400 watt in 6.5 L soil and she´s a good 60 cm (2 ft) , there´s NO stretch at all , so i cant recommend this for low watt OPs

I flowered my 2 desired Dc breeder males this season outdoor and i have to say that Dc is much faster vegging outside ...

Yep it resin all right!!! Just started to cover the inner leaves. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Another 3-4 weeks so it should have an abundance of resin at harvest. The buds and leaves are starting to turn to purple as of late. Had one stalk that got to heavy and broke, tied it backup and it seem's to be doing fine.
The wife tells me I can't give any away without her permission.
The other good point is I have a mother of the deep chunk going and plan on running a batch as soon as I can clone and veg(veg could be a while) the DC.
Looking forward to doing some bubble hash with the trimmings!!!!

The leaves on these babies are enormous compared to the height.. it may be a little too dry for them in my area..
