Are you sure about that? Never heard that before. Been interested in picking some DC up. Might have to give TH version a shot if they are partners.

HT and TH are partners. If TH wants to release something, HT will release it. A lot of the stuff there is HT genetics. But they are partners and both have DC as part of their gear. And on OG, TH said DC was stabilized for years and years, so I dont think HT could really take it any further than where it was depending on who found it first. Anyways, if you didnt understand what I was trying to say; I think its the same.

all I ever heard is that ht had toms permission to reproduce dc thats a far cry from partners, ht only gotta hold of dc the same time as all folks who tom originally sent it out to, ht then gotta hold of as many versions from fellow oger's etc as possible, who ever said th and ht were partners? correct me on that please.

Tom Hill gifted Deep Chunk, pine Tar kush, cripple creek and SCBB X PTK some time ago to many growers on OG. myself lucky to score some.

those beans for sure are original genetics from TomHill. anything else out there is made from the seedmakers selection. i seriously doubt that bub and tom are partners, lol, LOL

Tom gifted the genetics, and stated many times he had no problem with peeps breedin with his gear, bub has said before he ensured it was allright to recreate the DC line, he had asked Tom permission personally.

bubs DC is that, HTCs Deep Chunk offerin, his selections from Toms genetics. so as to how good the DC bub offers, is like anything else, amount of plants grown to find the best in the line. easy as that. i personally sent bub the rest of my DC stock that i made from Toms gift, some were good some seconds, either way, what i selected from 10 beans is in bubs line as well as others.

DC is a pre soviet afghani inbred line of many generations. im growin some of bubs DC right now, there still veggin up, im thinkin there seconds he sent me, and only got 50% germ on um. two look exactly like the DC from Tom in growth, one other has slender leaf sets, which to my understandin you will see every now and again in a pre soviet ghani line.

Not mine. The plant from the picture yielded about 5 grams, the other that I took down about 3.

As for the TH/OG Bub partnership, it may have something to do with posts like this.

I had to get more vigor from the DC, as shes a verry inbred Afghan Indica. After kicking it around with TomHill, Cultivar of DC, I decided to go with the C99 for a father in the cross.
He added vigor as hoped and good branching. DCxC99 retained ALOT of the DeepChunk from Momma.
