I sometimes visit the state, and know people, including an ex - female law enforcment officer, (which also enjoys to smoke )

my point in the debate was, if you are completely legal (3 mature, 3 immature) then no cop could touch you. She claims that the police get bored in maine, and would simply pass the case on to federal agents, which could be there in an hour or less (from bangor, augusta, portland ect..) we had quite a heated debate

I said that if you had a large operation, that may be true, but for the small scale / personal user, this would simply not happen

She said they would just have a federal agent come out and charge you... what do you think

I think she is full of shit--
Too many times some low level nobodies...just wants to seem like they are "in the know"...and says shit that they would not have had any part in--
I am quite sure that the average street cop...cannot just call up the Feds to come get somebody--

Feds will NOT take just any petty case some local cop can't touch...nonsense. Ask a federal Attorney ( prosecutor ) if he is interested in sending agents far away from the office to maybe bust a few plants in a med state...no way. ONLY if there was a political motive would you see that. Most cops are egotistic bastards and would LIKE to think they can snap their pig fingers and get a fed to do the dirty work they cannot, but that is NOT the case.

Tell that maine pig to show proof of ANY federal prosecutions of minor plant growers...he cannot and that should shut his stinking pie hole.

I think what she says doesnt matter in the least. My understanding is the feds dont give a shit unless they already are after you for something else, or if you have more than 99 plants... either way I wouldnt give her silly ass opinion another thought.
