I just said that a 100% indica plant, which is put directly from the germ under 12h of light, whatever the growing parameters will not produce much...
Have you been running the same light schedule as OP? Did you read and comprehend my previous post?

Cheers!

They're settling into flower now mostly, the crit hsc blueberry is a little behind its only just started producing pistils, it's a fast flowering one so it should be ok?

I've got all the important stuff done now they just need left to grow now.

I was needing a heater to keep the temps up so I've been increasing the light intensity every 2/3 days today it was enough for the heater switch off 🎉

How do you make your dry sift?

I like dry sift for me it doesn't get better for flavour.
I used a bucket and a screen it worked well.
_20230123_223240.JPG

£4 for the screen I put the trim into the bucket fixed on the screen then shook it over a plastic sheet.
_20230123_223452.JPG

I ended up buying a sifter its convenient but not really much better tbh.

Nice pieces of hash (y) 😛
Dry sift is the best method for taste I agree but sadly the returns are quite low compared to ice-o-lator method, I have tried different ways along the years and I do dry sift when it's really just for a small quantity, usually under 100g of material to sieve and I get around 5/7% of delicious hashish. When I have more than a 100g to transform I do a ice-o run and get around 10% of great hashish, less tasty but extremely strong.
The pollinator(mechanical dry sift) has usually a mesh too big who allow too much contaminants to pass with the resin heads. It's great when you have really big quantities to work with but for personal use I don't think it's the best option. If you want improve the quality you can sieve what comes out of the pollinator with a smaller mesh, this way you can separate the contaminants from the resin heads and have some incredibly bubbly hash.

I've got 2 dehumidifiers to test (I'm going to return 1)

#1 has a condenser 17cm x 21cm it uses 25w at the fan 165w total its rated for 12ltr/day

#2 condenser is 17cm x 17cm it uses 21w at the fan 155w total and its rated for 12ltr/day something isn't adding up the daewoo seems to be underpowered?

I put the two of them in the same room to see which gathers the most moisture...I'm going with more power = more dehumidification, what do you think?

This is the 1st time I've looked closer at dehumidifiers I've used a 12ltr BQ dehumidifier for like 10yrs its still going but its seen better days.

Wow that was a lesson in efficiency, 175ml compared to 300ml from the dehumidifier using less power, that's 53% more moisture and circa 10% less energy to do it 😲

Hello, I've always rubbed the plant material into the silk, spread over a container.
Does putting it into a container and shaking it produce an equal/better outcome?

Hey bud I'm not sure if its better I've not tried rubbing the material versus shaking it i think it be much the same?

I've only scratched the surface in hash/sift making.

Another question...not sure if it is you or another member but do you adjust the level of your LED during the cycle?
I do adjust the height of my light as I go, it's a pain getting under it but if you half the height you double the light intensity without any increase in power.

It's 3wks today since potting them up to flower, temps/humidity are both good but they're not using much nutrient considering, its around 500ml a day per pot but they do look ok so idk 🤷‍♂️

Fixing them down worked out well for most of them there's a couple might have benefitted from a week earlier but all in I'm happy enough with them.

I lowered the light today again by around 4/5" its now reading 52/57k lux, with the added mylar the hot spot isn't so hot anymore there's onlt 5k lux ± between the highest and lowest readings 😲

Edit...a better pic of the hsc blueberry

I've not been that happy with the rooting situation from my autopots in general so I've been addressing it with some promising results and some less promising.

A bit drier seems to work better, that's twice this crop I've observed improvements with allowing a little dry back which I don't normally subscribe to...or didn't 😂

If you static cleaned that over a 73, micron or the nearest you got
You'd have 2 piles, one super clean melty drisift.
And another one.

After reading about static tec I bought a static generator aka wimshurst machine to give me a constant supply of static, I've been busy with other things I've not had a chance to mess around with it yet.

I'm aiming to put sift into tin foil/tray then crank the handle and have all the leaf matter jump off 🤷‍♂️

If i isolate the tin foil or tin tray and connect the positive or negative capacitor to it to create a constant static field

It's probably already clear idk anything about electricity
Any opinions or pointers?
