DEA TV show, maybe we can watch and learn?

You know its not something you would normally think about, but it seems obvious that a cop cant make any deal with you. they're cops, they have NOTHING to do with your sentencing. but they can choose to not arrest you at all, that's where they get people. everyone know's a cop wouldnt argue with a prosecutor to get your sentence reduced- but if you just give the guy what he wants there is a good chance he will just leave you alone (thats what humans tend to do). so what does it mean for the suspects? that we live in a country run by a tyrant government and we are all are merely pawns in a global slave market machine. sorry to get all dramatic, but hey... shits real....

I learned its time to start weeding out the snitches...

without them the cops are useless...

QFT. that show isnt even on TV without the snitches.

i also realized again that the person who ratted on me was one who smoked half of my stash with me over the course of 5 months.... :fsu:

You would have to be mighty unwise to assume the behavior of a drug leo and that of a normal human being have any corrolation whatsoever. Also doing anything without being granted immunity by a prosecutor in writing with your lawyers approval would be a very bad idea.

Just remember that leos historically have no problem lieing even if under oath so I would take anything they say with a grain of salt the size of a volkswagen.

I also watched this and learned a couple of things. First these busts seemed small time to me (relating to the amount of drugs being confiscated).

Second the narc is always the last person you see before being busted. Seems to have something to do with a solid case against you.

Third although it may be true that the DA has to ok the "no charge" before the narc does not get busted but cops are trained to lie. They are probably allowed to make this offer.

Ever watch 48hrs I really enjoy that show. Although it deals with homicide they offer immunity to drug dealers and other shady types.

yeah i dont like the way i worded that. but there are those moments, the cop has something on you and he really doesnt need to turn you in for it- thats the leverage they use. you have to believe them, because if you ask for the promise in writing they say there is no time to call a prosecutor. and theyre really not lying about that either, if they want to keep popping/snitchin they cant be waiting days in between busts. so thats why these people make these deals. maybe its just the good cops that actually let people off for snitching on their source that make it possible for people to believe the rest.

i saw the episode where the guy got away twice and it is staged for tv entertainment! the lone dea guy goes to block the guy by the gas pumps and when the guy goes the opposite way the dea guy parks his vehicle. the second dea guy arrives and blocks the suspects car. the suspect backs out and the funny thing i caught was the first dea guy coulda backed his vehicle up and blocked the suspect between pumps but he just sat there and let the suspect get away! then they show the guys daughter who is 16 leaving their house with a bag. the dea guys detain her saying she came from a known drug house and they wanna search her bag. the girl was right to say no to a search but she caved and started pulling her junk out of the bag in a stupid fit. she sat on the bag and in the end they searched anyway. had she insisted on her mom being there, and not consent to a search things may have played out different.
These shows can teach you how they will lie and intimidate.

I do not get it, one episode they do not want to bust anything under 80lbs (weed), next they are going after 10 elbows and only get 1. They bust the next day, regardless of the known amount. They are bouncing all over, I know this is TV, but they were stopping guys on traffic stops for an 0z just to gather evidence on the dealer. Guy moving OZ's wouldn't seem to be worth their time but then they always try and push upwards on the little guy. They said 90% of the time people Roll. That is not good for a grower's lifespan in the Biz! Sometimes I wonder...

That episode was fucked up! Only if the girl knew her rights and left the bag in the car and LOCKED it and then stepped out to talk...it might have gone a different way.

unlikely. i thought it was pretty clear the officers were scarin the shit out of her to get her to do what they wanted anyway. she made it very clear that she was 16 can could not agree to what they asked. you see it on cops a lot of times too, where the officer is out of bounds. but it ends up on tv and people dont say shit about it because its DRUGGGSSSS

I'm waiting for them to do an episode on how the DEA busts those dangerous med pot clubs in California. It must be tough facing down old hippies in walkers. I'm sure they'll need to bring in the tanks and wear all the kevlar they have. And let's not forget the investigation beforehand. We'll need shots of the DEA chief doing some in depth snooping in the yellow pages before the bust.

I don't know about you all, but I feel a lot safer knowing that the DEA is preventing sick people with doctor recommendations from getting their medicine.

I saw one, wondering if anything new....same old "Cops" show bullshit/format......bust small, try and weasel way up the ladder......staged bullshit.......overblown drama....and , frankly, don't even think they are DEA.....(local, deputized, part of, as they say "task force"...."We're with the DEA task force"......)

I think the 2-3 blurred are DEA....don't think the guys on the show are......)

I liked that one with the 16yr old requesting parent.......maybe their attorney can use the footage :smoke: I thought it was supposed to end there....

Things I've observed

Things I've observed

Instead of complaining fruitlessly, I'll share a few things I've learned by watching "D.E.A.".

Many of the cases were only solid because the dealer possesed currency, whose serial numbers had been previously recorded by the D.E.A. It would be difficult for LEO to record all the serial numbers of currency in an ATM....

Many of the guys on the show used cell phones to communicate with eatch while on duty; a radio/walkie takie shouldn't be neccesary to raise red flags for you.

If a guy who normally buys grams asks for an ounce, be wary. If a guys who normally meets you at a neutral location asks you to come to his house because he doesn't have his whip and his shorties are at home be cautious.

Strangely, LEO rarely brought the dogs into the houses they were searching, possibly becuase the houses were so unkempt. If your hiding spot is clever, you may avoid arrest. In one house, they found an empty cocaine kilo wrapper, but because they found no stash, the guys were not arrested.

In almost every instance I can remember, when the officers did not have PC they would turn on their lights, causing the target to pull over. Even though the suspect turned on his blinkers, he did not turn them on 100 feet before he turned, which is against the law, which then gave the officers a reason the stop the target. Even though a determined officer can find something wrong with the way your driving or your car, it is helpful to be familiar with the laws in the area.

This week's episode is all about a 'Marijuana Grow House'.

http://www.spike.com/episode/26813/st/2977834

'Winter comes to Detroit and DEA Group 14 takes part in a city wide operation to shutdown dope houses near local schools. The agents use thermal imaging to target a sophisticated marijuana grow house and mount a daring plan to put it out of commission.'
