The wikipedia article for it is pretty informative and actually gives a few more reasons in favor of DST than I originally imagined applicable. Interesting.

Just read an article in the paper a couple days ago stating that the "new improved" DST that was designed to save money and energy is actually costing folks on average $3 more per year in energy expense.

bird dawg is right , it backfired and used more energy, because it was frickin dark when everyone had to goto work so they used more light heat whatever, its ok because the powers that be made even more money and it costs us more. i liked the analogy the guy said his grandmother used. i quote mine all the time , god rest her soul.

i voted no.

Yeah we just had snow here not too long ago. Prime BBQ time. I think that DSD is just another way for the all mighty govt to control the time.

It was snowing this morning - no cooking outside for me in March - it's a winter month here!
Good friend of mine who's an engineer and quite brilliant at things like cars explained to me why making the batteries in those electric cars are actually worse for the environment than just feeding the cars gas. I'm a little too high to recall his exact reasoning, but yeah, I agree with that part, Leader, but I'm sticking to my guns on DST! Grilling here starts in April, if we're lucky!

My lights are on their own timer, actually the opposite of daylight so I do not have as much hear in the summer months. But back on the subject, I have always called it Daylight Wasting Time or Dalight Wasting my F--king Time.
