I love the tranquility of that river bank, Pono.

I picture myself seated on that wooden bench with a fishing line in the water, a fat hooter needing a re-light, and my box guitar serenading the landscape.

You are one lucky dawg to live near that picture-postcard scene.

looking good man

if i may suggest some side bracing to the hoopers? it will help stabilize with time and weight and also it helps from having the tarp smash the side canopy flowers later on in maturity.

cheers!

workin on it now Jointed! im using last years supports for the bracing I still gotta round them up. you're not gonna like this but im using the home d cheapo plastic. my thinking is im going to start pulling it on the sunny warm days and leave it off for good around the beginning of june. your thoughts? thanks Carlos, sadly this is the last summer here but I feel blessed to have lived in this beautiful spot.

they call that cheap stuff 'one year' around here. It works fine. It wont allow tons of light through, but it will make a good insulating layer, while still allowing them to grow up. If you do as you say ; leave it off except when its cool the first 30 days, i think youll be golden. And to be honest, that plastic can last a while if cleaned after this spring, folded up, and put away somewhere dark, it should last a couple years.

Yea the bracing is crucial, ive seen some setups where they use cheap heavy duty rope as makeshift bracing. Even saw someone use greentape but it didnt hold up to the weight of the tarp well.
