eh stay on the freeways much as possible. and u can always ride with front windows down.

in cali its 5inch winshield.....70 percentmax front windowns...unlimited back windshield and rear passenger windows

uh many a times id have to roll the windows down and make eye contact with cops for them to be off my radar when next to me and turn my sounds down a little, they seemed really scared or something..... only got one ticket and was negotiated down to window tint cuz he said he was takin me down for mj sales cuz i had a grip of 8th sized medical bottles....and an expired rec......fcuk em just rock it and have ur awareness up and ull peep game,, and yea its eaiser to do on certain cars think cars with or without rear passenger doors and newer vs older etc. i rocked the car for several months btw in the most hood places btw

its a double edged sword btw with tint attracting or not attraction attention... if you average jolly ol white guy then sure why would they be suspicious, but anything else it gets all fuzzy ya kno and almost better to obscure ya face a little ya kno... jus depends

The opposite of a po-po magnet is a minivan. Get those little people stickers you see on the back windows and make sure you create a big family. Minivans are invisible :)

Not even close. I hate to break it to you folks, but if you're on the radar enough to be wondering how not to be, you fucked up already. A wanksta driving a minivan is still going to get bent over because he's a wanksta. :tiphat: Stop acting like thugs and you'll probably stay out of jail longer. Just saying.

i'd never do it, just seems like asking for issues, i don't like to advertise in any way shape or form

:yeahthats
Yeah I don't do anything that will raise their alertness towards me anymore than just being there in all legal style, in other words I don't like being f**ked with by the pigs!!!!!!!!!

Tryed to advise my girlfriend against tinted windows for this exact reason, your just asking for it. Thankfully I don't drive that car much :)

I am on my way however to go pick it up with some new 10's in the back, dropped it off this morning :)

I drive with dope in my truck, with my paperwork, not high!

Dark tints = cop magnets

If you just need to have a tint then see if they can do some sort of automated stash box as well... because you will be messed with by popo...

he can do a light tint on the driver/passanger but hell still have grief sometimes....

ive been pulled literaly coming out of the tint shop...

I love tint too much to take it off. I've had 20% on one vehicle and when I got my SUV 2 years back I had 5% on.

I've had 5% (driver/passenger windows) with the factory 20% the rest of the way for ~2 years now...

...I made a very, very dumb move. I have an 18" sub (wont get into brand names because my video on youtube is one of the most popular for that brand) and pushin 3kw with two g31 batteries and yellow top under the hood...had an aftermarket alt installed, pushes 150amps at idle...250 max...but the voltage regulator broke and i had it fixed, have yet to install it back though.

keeping this in mind, i live in a city in which a 5 minute drive you'll more than likely spot 2-5 cars with tint, maybe more. It's a fairly big city and most city cops won't hassle you unless you're blatant about it, being a dick or they have another reason to pull you over. There are borough cops though that will yank you for just about anything.

there is a very large bar scene in the city i live, particularly in 1 area. this area on any given weekend is packed, block-to-block with clubbers, bar hoppers, etc. anyway during the day it's still pretty busy, lot of traffic and a pretty decent amount of people. one day i got real stoned and had to go somewhere for something, and on the way home i figured i'd take a detour as i really didn't want to get home that fast (i enjoy driving around high listening to music)...

...this shortcut was through the place i mentioned above, the 'bar' scene of my city...it's probably 1-2PM and i had my windows just cracked, i was stoned out of my mind (gun on me, but i have a permit) and my cd player went from folder 3 to folder 4, from rock to rap. one of the first songs to play was a gucci mane song and the sub started boomin' and 10 seconds later 2 motorcycle traffic cops had me pulled over...in the middle of this traffic-jam...with everybody staring. i kinda figured this was a benefit to me as they couldn't pull some shady shit with so many people and cameras around.

anyway, i drop the windows and the first thing he tells me was my inspection was out of date...he asked for insurance/lic etc and i realized my insurance card was 1 month outdated, so in the end i got dinged for inspection/not carrying proper insurance/tint....but, one thing I always do was I told the officer I have a concealed carry permit (handed it to him with my license) and opened my glove and set it on the seat while i got my registration...he said "Thank you for letting me know now" and ended up only ticketing me for 1 window ($110 a piece) and not 2. how nice of him...NOT...lol.. i was surprised though that he didn't realize how stoned i was. i wasn't shaking, making sudden movements, anything. just kinda sat their slouched in my seat, redeyed and everything. he didn't ask me to get out, didnt ask to search, nada....which was really odd since i have 5% tint and a bangin' system...typical drug whip ya kno...anyway maybe it was my demeanor? i was polite and so was he (minus the tickets)

anyway went to court, apparently due to some issues between the police & the court most charges against people are just being dropped because cops aren't being paid the proper overtime for showing in court or some stupid thing (heard it on local news awhile back, maybe things have changed)....anyone with minor traffic offenses had their shit basically written off, dropped...no points, no fine, nothing. only the DUI's and other repeat offenders actually had to go through some shit.

so my name is called, i dressed nice (unlike most people there) and the judge simply stated the charges and said "are they taken care of?" and i said yes, showed him proof of inspection, proper insurance card, etc. he dropped everything including the tint and i walked out without paying a penny.

here's the kicker...i never sent in the $8 you need to send in when you plead not guilty, some sort of legal fee...anyway...they never said anything and on my way out the guy at the window in the courthouse stopped me and said "we'll be mailing you a check for the $24"...i smiled and walked out...

so in the end, i didn't take my tint off...and out of 3 citations they paid me $24 :)

however knowing the game we're all in i do not recommend tint. it's simply another reason to get pulled over. on the other hand i have driven right by cops (traffic cops too) with my windows up, blacked out in broad daylight and they (sometimes) follow, but normally turn off after they realize my shit is up to date and i obey all traffic laws. i keep it on because i dont like nebby people at traffic lights and it blocks people from seeing the $5,000 system & any other valuables.

*note, some areas i have heard multiple stories in which when ticketed for tint certain area cops will require that the tint be removed & the vehicle brought to the station to ensure the tint was removed...i've heard multiple stories from people who have said they had to do this, i don't know the specific law regarding it but i don't immediately know what law or what city code would force someone to have to drive their vehicle to 'prove to the officer it was removed'....once you're cited AFAIK your only obligation is to go to court...

I had tint back in the day and got pulled over for it once so I never put it on any car after that out of paranoia I would be smoking or have something on me and get pulled over. I think it looks suspicious and cops def look for things like that so they can see what is inside if the person is hiding something.

when i was younger had dark tints on my cars....was driving an acura TL with 35% on the fronts and got pulled over on the 5 headed down to santa barbara...we had a couple hundred pills of X in the car and weed too...cop mentioned she smelled weed and let us go with the tint ticket....whew lucky! also my college buddys uncle is a CHP so he signs off on my tickets.

but recently i was driving a mercedes CLK 430 which had 5% tints on the front window...one night me and my bro decide to do a late night munchie run...no joke we got pulled over TWICE IN TEN MINUTES.

window tints are a damn cop magnet. the most i would put on my windows now is like 70% tint......

This wonderful country, oh I love it. And I do, it's very beautiful, except the ass backwards laws that VARY from state to state, county to county, town to town.

yes my friend, a reason to pull u over... and i might think u dont want that huh?

I had black tinty 75% every where before, i removed them now just cuz police stop me all the time...

Any tint on front windows is an invitation for police/CHP in CA to pull you over. We can't give them any excuses to flag us down! Always play it safe and conservative.

Depends on the country/state/county/etc you're in. Some places anything that wasn't put on in the factory is illegal, some places they could care less. Most places that DO have a law on the books don't enforce it, they just use it as an excuse to pull you over and see what else might be going on.

If you don't need the tinting, skip it. Easiest way to keep something hidden is in plain sight.
