Dark Heart Nursery Clones

most of the comments so far have been on whether the DHN cuts were legit. i'd like to know what issues, if any, that people have had with the health of their clones. any outbreaks of mites, mildew, gnats, land sharks, you name it? they make a point on their site about a guarantee the plants are pest free. if anyone did have an issue, how did the place handle it?

i haven't found any, but then they all got sprayed anyway when they came in the garden, as i don't like to take chances, so i couldn't tell you for sure. no pest damage tho.

prevention is the best pest control. better safe than sorry. also a lot of clubs carry multiple plant vendors so they could be healthy then easily jump from some other stuff over to the dhn cuts while in the club. I go to RCP in sac and they only carry DHN, so probably the safest, but still should take precautions.

from dh i've run:

1. blackberry kush - for sure has auto-flowering problems... put her out late in 2013 and din't reaslly notice it, but when i tried to keep a mother over the winter it was pre-flowering hard under 8/6 after 4 months, but it was in a 30 gallon bag so rootspace wasn't the issue... the clones i took got put in the spring light dep pretty much went straight into flowering even though i added supp. lighting for the first 2 weeks..... the plant can yield if you can veg it outdoors long enough without it going into flower (i.e. hard supp. lighting until 7/21... the nugs are tight and frost, but everything else is just kind of bland although she did have a nice taste when burned... real earthy and hash... i gave up on trying to keep a mom... if i ever want to run it again i'll just grab a tray of clones and put them out.

2. cherry pie - definitely shines outdoors and i've never noticed a nanner problem outdoors, but never ran her inside... good fuel/lemon funk... average yield... likes to go wide... definitely can be potent smoke.

3. jillybean - i don't know why jillybean doesnt get more props from people looking to cash in on a crop... i've pushed her to 8+ easy in 300's outdoors ... she really is a multi-headed monster topped or not... LARGE heavy spear like colas that must be trellised and staked... she drips with resin and is absolutely beautiful and bomb smelling when dried and cured... however, the smoke is just blah... it's alright. if you're into being able to smoke a j before work and just want a light buzz that's about all it'll give you... it does taste incredible though and i kept all my jillybean trim seperate this tear for some awesome dry sift that might not be the stoniest thing in town but i can smoke it all day just for the taste.

4. alien go- needed a shit ton of staking... real dense nuts, but not abig on resin. bag appeal, yield, flavor, stone, everything about it is just average at best.

5. blue dream - their cut is an alright representation of a blue dream like plant, but it ain't the real deal and it shows when compared side by side in the yield mostly... the taste is pretty nice when cured right.

6. dream queen - you've gone full retard if you buy the line of crap from them about it being green crack just renamed... not at all... dream queen is nowhere near the early yielding taste monster that real green crack can be... comes in right around the 7th of october or so up here and i honestly can't distinguish the smell of dhn dream queen and their blue dream cut... another sign it isn't even remotely related to green crack.

7. space queen - their space queen did some really strange stuff a couple years ago when i tried it... just kind of a dud in general, but it wasn't due to mites or disease it just didn't want to act right... and that was 24 clones all in big 3 yard pots.

8. purple cadillac - this thing can be a beast outdoors and came in mid-october and was so so so dense that bud rot was a serious issue to contend with... keep the plants extra health and have a good management program in place come flowering and you'll be fine... definitely a crowd pleaser that never stays around long...

That's everything I've tried from dhn. ive never had any problems with pests from them, but i also dip and quarantine everything in a grow shed outside my house to make sure it's safe before entering.

krunch, how did the trainwreck cuts from MF do for you this year outdoors in terms of finish time and yield/potency?

My entire garden got mites from those Trainwrecks...

HUGE buds, but not dense and im sure thats from the bugs...

VERY potent and stinky, I ended up running it all through my CLS because of the non dense issue...

Im running Arcata TW right now and can say that MF kills it in all categories but potency...

I like TW and TW crosses. I try and tell people, they don't listen. I keep a Tw of some kind in the garden all the time for myself. It's that funky dank

I have a Trainwreck x OG Kush S1 someone around here made... I love it and it's got all the greasy lemon funk of the TW going for it plus it yields, but it finishes late October. I want some of this early finishing TW I hear about all the time.

EDIT: Speaking of... what's the skinny on the Allen Wrench clone they have out for 2015? I could get behind some Trainwrecky-Diesel nuggets.

I will have some finished at my other spot in a few weeks...

Ive actually never been to my other spot, I just see video's of it so I cant tell you smell yet...

Very tall and lanky, needs to be trellised and staked like a Diesel. Buds dont look like diesel, partner said he can smell trainwreck...

hey bo hasset, wondering exactly how monstrous the purple caddy gets outside, what yields have you seen from what size pot? Have you come across other "monster" strains that have awesome yields like the jilly bean but with more potency?

Has anyone done the chem4 in big bags or holes outside?
Does it finish faster than Diesel?
What kind of weight can you get compared to something like a blue dream?
