Dark Heart Nursery Clones

Yo Yo, just found this tread because my Headband from DHN that I got from harborside on 4/19 has some tacoing leaves.

These leaves look very similar to 20sackzack front right plant in his last picture. You'll see a smaller leaf near the top is tacoing. Also just realized my scope is 16x so I don't even know if I could see a russet with it. 20sackzack, do you know the leaf I am talking about? Have you scoped it?

I got the allen wrench as well but the curl is minimal. I can't say for certian that I have russets until I get a new scope. Also seeing as I haven't had plant in over a year and not ever at this spot, I don't think I already had them. I've seen the taco in other gardens in the past and it has always been russets. What else could this extreme tacoing be?

The plant you are talking about is sour diesel. I noticed it after I got home and was a little concerned

However, while leaf curling and tacoing is a symptom of some mite infections, it can also be a symptom of many other things. Like krunch said possibly too intense of a light. Or possibly heat/humidity or any other kind of stress

Im not too worried about mites from dark heart but dispensaries like harborside carry many different vendors so there is possibility of picking them up that way

Getting a proper scope is the only way of knowing for sure. For me its not really worth the cost at this point

Here's a pic of the sour d I just took. Is it infected with mites? Who knows but spraying some neem agsil and aloe doesn't hurt

Harborside does carry a lot of vendor but DHN clones sold on 4/19 were there less than half of a day. I don't think mite damage will take affect and show damage in that short of a time frame..... did you scope that leaf I was talking about?

Sorry i missed the part about scope...... Yeah, ive been spraying with neem and removing affected leaves..... Also I dusted the clone with diatomaceous earth while still in the box... this could have been the cause but I did the same thing to cookies and cream from midnight, sd from pcg, and tga orange from grassroots last week and didn't see the same effect.

No, like I said I dont think its worth the cost at this point for me to buy a powerful enough scope to see the mites you are worried about.

If they were only there half a day how could they already be showing symptoms from being contaminated by other plants?

And if my clone came from a sick/infected plant how could it bounce back and be growing so well?

I definitely understand your concern but maybe just giving them a few more days to settle in will solve the problem. Using aloe and silica can help ease the transition.

If you are really that concerned then I would definitely recommend getting a good scope and seeing for yourself. Good luck

who do you represent post #666. The Mark of the Mite. Just kidding... thanks for your positivity. Your Sour D is definitely looking happy and healthy. It always did. Just that little curl in the first picture was a little concerning

@ kruchbubble or anyone else that might know. Have you ever grown deep sleep from harborside. I don't know if DHN supplied it, doesn't look like it. How does it grow, size, structure taste, smell, high and would you grow it again. I am debating if it is worth growing outside. Thanks

Deep sleep is an old progressive options cut from San Fernando Valley. I think Bubba xog but look on their page if it's still around. Good luck

Yeah thanks Principante. It is P.O. #4 a larry og x pre '98 bubba. I've seen a lot of reviews on the bud. Most reviews say it is very high quality but some say it's just alright. I believe that has more to do with the grower or different strain with the same name. I've called the dispensaries that carry it and get mixed reviews. I have yet to find someone who actually grew it. I'm doing a tester but it won't be finished until 6-20 or so. A little late to decide if it is worth going outside. I got it through a dispensary in Shasta co. who said they got it from harborside a while back.

Ogbubba I grew that clone from harborside years ago. Finished mid Oct, great structure, beautiful purple green frosty dense nuggets

Progressive options was infesting people's gardens for years with just about everything under the rainbow so that's probably why reviews are mixed. I Can't speak for outdoor but indoor you'll be happy with her for sure. Good luck

this is the best response imo, if prop says it was legit outdoors, i would definitely give STRONG consideration to growing it outdoors, ALOT of clone only indoor cuts just cant hang outdoors and dont produce like you would want.. then some cuts flourish more outdoors then in.

so having a respected grower (whose been around) who you know wont make abunch of rookie mistakes and gives his approval, thats prob the number one thing i want to hear about.. vendor descriptions are damn near useless most times..

..midnight farms is where its at imo...

Grabbed some Ghost Og from BPG for the first time..

Then off to Elemental and grabbed Sour D and their Alien Og Kush, anyone run that before?

I ran 4 of the DHN Alien OG outdoors last year. It was the biggest producer I had. Big golf ball and tennis ball style nugs. Got purple right at the end. Harvested Oct 20th. Could have pulled earlier bit I wanted to see the colors come out. I would love to run it indoors. Only negative was not much of a nose on it.
