Hey bro how did the germination go?
Peace

Excellent, if youre speaking of these D-Haze. 10/10. I usually have a pattern of bad germ method, good method, bad, and have accidentally lost prime genetics doing so. To be extra careful I practiced on some extra Sour Diesel hybrid seeds I made last year and then germed the dank haze.
looking good so far.... :D

So, with your unknown location in 14wks... why a haze hybrid?

I am interested to see where this goes.

Good question. I've been thinking about how to answer this for several days; I want to give the facts but not clutter up a grow thread with personal issues, which I have done before.

Basically, my girlfriend of 2 years and I moved to this location, 6 month lease. Well long story short we have been having problems and she decided she wanted to move back in with her family. So she was going to wait til the lease ran up. Of course things got worse and she is probably leaving in a week instead of a few more months. I'll be good until the lease is up, but after that this place is just too expensive at the moment, by myself. I might crash in a camper for a bit this summer, but will be trying to arrange a place ASAP. Its just a wish, but I'm hoping after I tell my landlord my old lady is leaving that he drops the rent to a more reasonable amount. He happens to like me, and is rarely in this state, it would probably be more of a hassle for him to find a new renter.

So, I volunteered myself as a tester before all the problems. I wanted to honor the tester rules by starting the whole pack as soon as possible. Shortly after I realized my mistake.

I haven't been updating as much, or replying to posts, I've just been feeling too down. The plants are doing alright I suppose. They are pretty stretchy and lanky. They were in the 18oz cups for a bit too long, and just got transplanted to 2gallon buckets yesterday. About a week ago I shut down the veg lights and have been moving them from sunlight in the window to the flower room when its on, and they have been in 12/12 permanently for 3 days I believe. I want to give them time to sex and mature as much as possible before july.

Again they are not much to look at now; not topped, single cola style, varying from 12-20inches tall Id say. No side branch development because I kept them in the cups for so long, but they got stretchy. Im not sure the problem, but it always seems that my plants veg slower than others. One day Ill construct a perfect veg cab, I suspect having an environment with higher humidity would play a huge role.

I really apologize to CGS for mucking up this test grow, but I'll try to finish these up as good as possible. I feel like this wont be a prime example test grow since I hardly vegged them, ect...If this grow is a complete disaster, I will try to reveg all the female phenos and do a proper test grow, or purchase a new pack myself. Either way I feel pretty honored to be a tester and will do whatever it takes to provide worthy informative results, and not let CGS and myself down, even if it takes 2 years to properly flower these ladies. And sorry I haven't updated more frequently, Ive been fighting off depression monkeys with my bong-saber.

ill get some pics up tomorrow

dun dun dun! 7 males/ 3 females. After much debate and scrutiny, I am going to keep the one best smelling male to date. I have liked to age a bit more before I made my selection, being it was only off of stem rubbing and visual inspection, however I needed the room.

4/12 males. one of those pics is a duplicate i think, only 7 males, 8 pics.

Update: I was able to revamp my setup to a more suitable fashion and the plants are already loving it. It was a bit high in temp and a bit low in air exchange, i suspect, but its seemly much improved now. I also decided to just throw the male in the flower room with everything, as aposed to flowering HIM in a window and painting pollen on females. I'm just gonna let him hit all my ladies in flowering. Some are getting a bit too old to be pollenated, but its all gonna get smoked by me anyway, I dont mind. Update pics coming more frequently as they grow and improve in health...Seriously hours after the room fix the three DH ladies were especially loving it, leaves turning towards the light and streching up there and everything, I'm pretty stoked I might be able to save this test grow after all. Might not have to cut early and move either...:D:D

So i have been harvesting pollen from the male all week, and its saved and stored in the fridge. Im pretty sure the 3 ladies, along with everything else, is fairly pollinated, I left the male in the room for a few days, plus hand rubbed a bit on each one.

I plan on dialing in on the smells more, but it seems I have one that smells like what Id expect a haze to smell like, an a meaty funk one and a yet to be determined. Ill match up plants to smells in a bit and let you all know. Rock on.

Good work on making some seeds with your limited time. Imho, I say find the hazy pheno. Sour D is bomb, but kind of everywhere these days. Although meaty funk sounds good....:yummy:

Anyways, I hope things start to look up for you soon. Find a home for you and your garden and everything else will fall into place.

Thanks brotha! I try to keep things positive. Haven't secured a place to move, but growing is my number one priority, so things will work out in that favor, always.

I wasn't too careful or detailed on the pollination, but I'm sure Ill pull atleast a few seeds out. I still have a bit of pollen stored, I might go dust em again, but they probably don't need it. I can see a bit of pistills dying back. SD is the bomb, AND it is everywhere, good call. The meaty funk smell is beautiful, and its a little different smelling than the SD(reservoir) pheno I currently have.

So the plants: I have one that smells sweet, fruity kind of? Not sure how to explain it...other than I imagine that smell comes from the haze side. Another that is seemingly diesel leaning, it doesnt have that hazy bud structure, its a bit tighter, and funky and meaty I guess? Its definatly got that unique SD funk, but its a little...different. I guess meaty is a good description, although its not like a hamburger smell or anything. Im bad at describing, but I would imagine thats what people mean by "meaty" is the smell I am getting. The third is more of a mix, its got that SD funk unique to SD,but without that "meaty" zing, but a little sweet smell behind it like an afterthought. And heres some pics Ill label with the smells this time so we have some idea whats going down...

#3 - The really sweet hazy smelling one

#2- SD funk with extra "meaty" zing.

#1- funky minus meat zing with a lil sweetness. One is also tallest and has the most of what I would call the "haze" type buds, but im not a haze expert or anything.

Some of the male. He got pretty neglected and only got to flower out in a window sill, but he was chosen for his SD smell characteristics

Mack 10, I saw a few pictures of the DH you posted. EPIC! Those buds looked huge, congrats man!

El, thanks for stoppin in bruv! They aren't the healthiest of things, but they took alot of stress very well, I'm surprised they look this decent!

A+ for handling stress!

These are the last 3 ladies in the garden now, since the move is coming up. They should be around 10 weeks old now, give or take. I did put them in 12/12 a bit prematurely, before they were sexxed, so I imagine they are a little bit behind their actual age. I got some pics I'm gettin organized to post up!

Okay so I forgot which plant was which number, So Ill just describe em, with the pics.

I'll be adding some descriptions soon, check back, cuz I love the Edit Button!
Okay, well, lucky me, looks like I naturally posted the pics in correct plant order I started with. This set of pics here is #1. It has a sour D funk and looks like every single SSSDH Ive seen, and I LOVE it! I can't wait to smoke this girl.

This plant here...DANK HAZE = Sour Diesel(cant remember which cut they used, see PAGE 1) x SSSDH MALE!
If they were to make this into an IBL and not just an "f1 hybrid", This might be the SELECT PHENO. Its got the SSSDH buds, and the extra Sour D funk. I think this is a perfect DANK HAZE example here. But.... I'm still just speculating. I'll know more when she's smoked! :D

This is #2, and is the Sour D pheno, I think. She reaks like SD, and has "that look" about her. My cut of Rez's SD ibl smells more earthy soil funk, im bad at describin, but thats sorta it, this plant here has that plus some extra sorta REEK. It reminds me of this herb I used to buy called "diesel" but it had a more indica growth structure than SD ibl, and stank just like this.

Not sure what to make of this girl, as far as appearance. She smelled very very sweet and floral throughout flowering, but I was moving her yesterday and I picked up a sour D stink somewhere, So Ill have to get back to ya'll on that. For now she will be described as flowery, sweet, floral. I grew a trainwreck derivative strain once and the smell reminds me of those phenos, particularly the really "what I called the hazy pheno" of that grow.

I haven't seen one nanner or sack o' male on these ladies! And I run a loose ship! :D Haha, I've gotta few sensitive strains, and a horrible grow area at the moment; Its normal for me to pull off a few nanners/sacks once ina while. No big deal: FOR NOW. But these ladies seem to handle it!

And regarding that, I have yet to see any split calyxes with seeds. I can tell there are a few getting ready, but nothing yet. I hope my pollen took, on all three ladies, but for now only time will tell. I might just try to reveg the SSSDH pheno either way, and I believe I have a tiny bit of pollen left stashed away somewhere...:D
