To change things up a little I went with coco and pbp this run in the cmh tent. Added another light so we've got 945w this time.

I've been experimenting with Mushroombrew's defoliation tech the last few runs in my little closet. I was so impressed with the results that I'm all in this round. Pre-defoliation at day 21:

Post defoliation, day 25:

6 extra hours of work, but well worth the effort! I only wish I had a few more plants to stuff in there. :tiphat:

Whats up scrappy? Looking stellar as usual. Black lights are looking vigorous.

What size tent you running those green beams in? How many plants in there? Coir too huh, no run off on this one? Are you gonna trellis in the tent?

Mb is a day 21 and 42 defol guy right? Ive seen it work and fail. I talked with Mb about it, and two things are important to know imo, to be successful with it. First, healthy plants before stipping leaves of course, and second leave the top 2 or 3 leaves on for the top growth to keep churning. Is that your experience so far, or do you do something different?

Hey MM! That's a 4x8 tent. So far no runoff but once they start really drinking I'll let it runoff into the drip trays and leave it there for them to sip on when thirsty. No trellis but I've got bamboo stakes and 9 guage steel wire to make tomato cages for those who need it.

I only defol on day 21(ish). Haven't seen the need for a second round yet unless I missed some. I do leave the very top leaves on there.

16 plants in there. Originally there were 18 but 2 turned out male. At first I was glad because they were really packed in there tight but after defoliating I'm wishing I had a couple more to put in there. Defoliating really free's up a lot of space and that's where the magic is imo. I can't say for sure stripping the leaves on a plant increases yield but it doesn't seem to hurt it one bit and you get quality buds all up and down the plant. The benefit is freeing up so much extra space allows you to stuff more plants in there and that's where the yield bump comes in. You get a room full of buds instead of a room full of buds and leaves. Unfortunately for me this round I lost 2 and none to replace them with. Lesson learned.

Hope all has been well bruddah! Happy easter!

seed runs are looking beatiful. we have an old pheno of blueberry that has been passed down from the elders and it was from the time when the blueberry was around and in Northern California it was before the time all the phenos starting popping up since they couldnt get this clone they began ordering and popping seeds they would occasionally come across some of the older dudes called it blueberry sativa. I lost everything when the wildfires took my home and gardens but i am going to start trying to rebuild the house and the genetic library and reach out to the old timers and im sure i can secure you a few new strains as well when i make the trips :)

Well I do love me a good blueberry sativa! Very happy with the black lights so far. Getting flipped next week. My friend wants to do a full indica run next round in the cmh tent so I just popped a pack of Puck Yeah (Skelly Hashplant x NL1) from Coastal and another afghani line called Chitral Precious from Exsitu which is supposed to be a classic old world Afghani from the Pakistan border.

I think I went a little overboard with seeds because I also popped a few Jalalabad Star from Exsitu as well as a pack of Chocolate Trip from Bodhi. And some Blue Moonshine.

Speaking of blueberry... here's a couple pics of my bx2 #3 at 20 days. Tomorrow is defoliation day. Looks a little more sativa than the other one I have going and stacking nice already.

Those girls are dialed in, excellent job! Im interested to see how the choc trip turn out for ya. Beanz said the mom makes nice mint choc flavor! Ive been smoking a few of the cocoa kush f2's I made and they have nice cocoa flavor to them, along with the death star x ck cross.

I got some of the rc blue moonshine sats too! When I get the chance to run them, ill run a cut of the dj bm mother next to them to see the differences.

Looking forward to all the new gear. The skelly hp cross sounds intriguing as hell too!

Yeah mint chocolate does sound tasty! Unfortunately I don't think I have any of the ones beanz made but I should double check. These are from a pack of Bodhi's OP I bought a couple years back and definitely looking for some chocolate flavors. I got plans for it.

The Chitral Precious is supposed to smell like caramel and fancy bread, and Jalalabad Star was recommended by Bodhi who said they got some serious hellish stank. Will definitely be interesting. Skelly x NL too I think both those lines are destined to mate with my chems. :woohoo:

Ended up having to defoliate again at day 40. I can see now where it's necessary when doing a whole room with this tech. As stuff grows, other stuff gets blocked. And of course, I missed some the first time.

We're at day 42 now and things are looking pretty good. Pulled a couple plants out and realized I really needed to trim up the bottoms. Even with all this defoliation there's only so far these lights will penetrate. Lots of popcorn nugs and suckers I pulled off today.

Here's my Black Lime Reserves:

#1 this is my favorite so far just based on smell. Much shorter than the others but she's got the nicest funk of the bunch.

picture.php

#5 is my 2nd favorite. Much more sativa, I cut all her top leaves off when I flipped just to keep her from getting too tall. She smells nice too. I think these sativa leaners are just taking a little longer to develop and get their stank on but it's comin'.

picture.php

#4 another stretchy girl. Bad pic, but I think she's the prettiest of the bunch.

picture.php

Don't have a pic of the other one, #2. Couldn't really get to her without pulling other plants out and at this point there's no support so they're all squished in there holding each other up.

Group shot, from bottom to top #1,5,4

Not sure what's what on this one but it's all black lime.

Nice dude I'd like to hear how those do also. How many ladies you workin with?

only got 4 girls , 2 males ...

2 girls where haze dominate and defiantly the ones to use , so I dusted each girl with a one male each . so two batches .

looks like a nice mango haze was used in those , very delicate thin leafed plant .

B

beanz

Oh damn, bummer on the germ rates! Hopefully they make up for it in quality.

no all germinated .....I culled some undesirable males . you will get some lovely f3 mate .....
I have a 2 Nigerian dominate females , you want me to dust it with the haze dominate male or males ? the girls I used are haze dominant ....as I thought they are the nicer . but indoors you might want that Nigerian still in there
