I have 4 of these same meters scattered throughout the room, along with my sentinel climate controller...All are within 2 degrees of each other...Proofs in the puddin i guess

whats your RH at? how low is low? that can really hurt growth being too low, as I know this first hand from growing in Mammoth Lakes, Ca and the Nevada desert.

Hey Dabs don't let a few people giving you shit ruin posting here for us all. We all can learn a lot from these threads and at the very least I'm appreciative of you putting your room on here.

If that meter is the same as mine (which I think it is), my guess is the RH is below 40% at that temperature. One thing I've noticed since going bare bulb is that the RH seems to drop pretty substantially and I have to add a humidifier to the mix.

Glad you got the temps controlled Dabs. Are you running the full 12k? Kind of hard to count the bulbs but it looked like 10k.

Also, why do you put the trellis where you do? I'd suspect initially it'd be better to put it on the inside so the plants don't get too close to the lights.

Anyway, sweet room buddy! Hope it delivers for ya.

The humidity drops to 20% with the fans on, but is able to climb to around 40-45 with the fans off for 10 minutes.... I don't have any moremoney so it will have to do for now

Some buckets of standing water can bump up your RH. Just know that low RH can cause mold too an turning off those fans is the last thing ya wanna do dabs.

Those pics were taken with 11000 watts. The other ballast is in my veg room in those pics but i hooked it up a couple days ago to the flower and everything is fine with 12000 watts also

As far as the trellis, and my design;

Have a look at my other threads...I was attempting to do a 4k stadium, but I have a horrible over veg problem so i like to suffocate the plants in the back... I think its hurt my yield. I almost did better running 12 plants under 4k than i did with 22. Same veg time. Tons of user error and the like, but one thing i learned was that working in a growroom that is hard to work in fucking sucks.

Another thing i learned is it is much more beneficial to me to be able to get behind these trees than it is for me to be in front of them..I hate working under the hot ass lights, i hate not being able to train plants in the back rows, i hate not being able to move in my room...

SO with this design, it was just 1 row, all the way around. I have the ability to walk in front of and behind the plants, as well as training from the back.

The trellis is exactly 30'' away from the lights. The front of the buckets is about 19'' away, with plant stems being at 24''. As you can see these plants are treed out..

i just started flowering yesterday, and this strain is easy 2-3x stretcher...So, that being said...a front trellis would just pull the buds too close to the light. In my last room i sometimes had trouble with the nugs closest to the light bleaching... I decided i would rather keep the nugs at a consistant range of about 24'' than have some 8'' from the bulb, some 10'', some 12'' etc. It more about space, convenience, and accessibility. Fuck what they say about light intensity, about optimal ranges and such. Ive done that, and not benefited as much as i thought i would...

The footprint for the trellis is 5x30 = 150sq feet. (give or take)... 12000 watts in 150sq ft = 80 watts per sq ft...Which is plenty intense for me.

Thanks for the comment:thank you:

I'll try it.

The fans are turned on and off by the climate controller. The air is pretty damn cold so they run for about 10 minutes, and then off for about 5-10 minutes...

Should i plug one in constantly while the lights are on, and then cycle the other one when extra air is needed??

If money weren;t an option...how are other people controlling large bare bulb grows without sealed rooms???

I once had 3 cool mist humidifiers in my 4k room, and they didnt do a god damn thing.

When you say fans, are you talking about exhaust fans or the actual fans moving air around?

For the sake of the community, and this thread, i figured i'de drop in and finish it...This will be my last thread though, and I'm done with this community. 8 pages of bullshit, about the stupid intake..

Yea...I'm fucked. Day temp 75-78, Night temp 62-65.

Fucking A Dabs! More on ya!!! Sweet looking plants. Nice temps too.

Thanks for the update man, I knew you were stand up.

I have 3 8'' exhausts.. they stay on 24/7.
I have 10 16'' wall mount oscillating fans... They stay on 24/7

i have 1 12'' Intake on one side of the room and 1 8'' intake on the other side. This is what im talking about when i say fans..

SO when my climate controller activates them, the 12'' and 8'' kick on, cool room down to 74*f and then turn off, until the room is 79-80*f, where they turn back on.

Havin no funds for a grow sux, I feel ya man. I keep coming up with solutions but it involves money lol. tinker with what ya got for now, like try setting all the exhaust fans an intakes to the controller to get your RH up, but ya might run into problems with heat. Rigging a waterfall deal with a pump, kiddie pool, an pvc or whatever ya got laying around can also raise RH but with a bigger room an constantly exhausting your going to be constantly battling RH. Tinker, tinker, tinker when ya got no extra funds.

Could put a shit ton of 5 gallon buckets out there w/ water in them and maybe some fans blowing over them or air stones inside or some such. That should raise RH a bit...

Is there enough meat in the budget after this run for a split? That seems like the move .. Kind of take the hit on the RH for this run, and next run, seal the room & jam it out.. ?

:dunno:

If you can seal the room, a 5-disc fogger setup oughtta be able to do the trick for that whole room.

Edit: Room looks great. :)

Hey Dabs....The first thing needed once yas got some cash in the budget will be a ultrasonic disc pond fogger or hydrofogger.com to keep Humidity @ 70 % till end of stretch , and then as low below 50% till end of cycle to help prevent airborn pathogens from getting a foothold in the room durin late swellage.....

Air exchange twice per minute plus wall fans creating a "vortex" of air all around the plants but never on em helps to keep airborn pathogens from being able to form......That`s how the big room guys on the left coast do it.....and....

The best kept secret is how the one`s that "claim" they run sealed w/CO2 , actually run major exhaust during lights off to suck out excess humidity from big plants transpiring , as well as all the excess CO2 the plants shit out that they didn`t use/metabolize during lights on.....now.....

Your plant placement may be 5 x 30 w/12KW , but your room`s 9 x 30 , and that`s what determines the amount of watts per sq ft you`re runnin , so instead of 80 per your actually only runnin 44.44.....and.....

Yas can wrap the walls and ceilings with reflectix/prodex/orca of your choice when budget permits to bounce those lost lumens up , down , and all around the room to improve dramatically lumen penetration/plant absorption.....

44.44 ain`t bad while yas dial environment during lights on and off along with the right strains for bare bulb setups......anyways....

5 ton minisplit and sealed w/CO2 for 12KW , or air exchange twice per minute with lung areas that have a/c on thermostats to condition air being pumped into and sucked out of the rooms 24/7.....

Just tryin ta help from all those yrs Bro.....Not tryin ta shove shit down your throat or tell yas what to do......Only what works when the budget provides and yas figure out the way yas wanna roll.......

Good luck and holler if I can help , but.....I understand if yas leave....Hell....I`ve deleted my account here more times than I can count due to fucktard know-it-alls that didn`t know dick , but.....

I get several pm`s a day from newb`s that`re too intimidated to post in the bigger threads , so just wanted yas to know that even though this thread got shit on , guaranteed you`re helpin folks , so for that I thank yas for your time......

The older I get , the more I realize that helpin folks is what it`s all about....

Peace....DHF.....:ying:.....
