You mounted wall mount fans to the ground to blow air up and out?

You do realize you already admitted i'm right, eh?

You'll re-do the entire thing next run. Or, you can just save the time and do it now.

Plants breathe from the bottom of the leaves dude. Do you not know this? Are you completely ignoring this because I am the one who brought it up? LOL.

Your fresh air intake.. if you can even call it that.. since I don't even know if that's fresh air coming in... isn't on the bottom of the room. It's at the top, being vented out immediately before it ever hits your plants canopy.

Blowing dead/stale air from the bottom of the room where it settles isn't going to do a damn thing.

You have no fresh airflow across the bottom of your canopy. How do you expect the plants to breath? Jump up in the air and get it?

Pretty simple stuff man. The plants nose is under it's leaves. Put the DAMN AIR AND OXYGEN THERE AS WELL.

It's like talking to a motherfucking brick. Pick up a biology book when you're done building this ass backward ridiculous fucking thing.

Good lord.

I have more fans guy. Chill the fuck out:thank you:

Not done building yet either. Not sure if that wasnt obvious.

It doesn't matter that it's 12". I have redone peoples rooms who told me the same.. it's 14"!!!! But.. it was a garbage 14 and barely moved 1500 cfm.

The 12's I run move far more than that. You gotta pay to play. You've blown some cash on this room, that's obvious.

Even 2k cfm isn't enough for 12kw. I generally run 6-8kw and use the fans I do.

I can't even imagine trying to stuff 12 uncooled 1k's into a room with anything other than a ridiculous air system.

You're going to learn the hard way, I suppose.

Your problem is you have no imagination

Hey dabs, quite the project you got goin there!

Are you worried about snow blocking or getting into your intake with it being so low to the ground and you being in colorado..I have no idea how much it snows there, just a heads up..

If i had one suggestion, I would put some 1x's up there and hang orca on everything. Orca > just about anything else imo..

Good luck..

Haha, I didn't even think about that really... I can block it off with a piece of plywood or somrthink

So what you're telling me and everyone else is that imagination > science and biology?

How high are you right now?

Because you sound like a dipshit. Looking at your room we already know that, though.

I honestly don't know what the hell to tell you if you're going to completely IGNORE basic biology and horticulture, lmfao.

Get real, dude.
Those fans are on the ground pointing up.. Turned on low to blow the hot air from the bulbs and away from the buds. I have 4 other fans to place throughout the room to blow air on the bottoms of the leaves... Don't know why you have such a problem with this??

What air exactly do you plan on 'blowing around'?

The stale air on the bottom of the room?

Your intake is way above the plants and you're venting out the top almost immediately, and even a 2nd and 3rd time before most of that oxygen will ever make it to said plants.

What you should do instead since you're doing this from scratch is build a 2" gap under the floor and sheet over it. Drill holes and have pvc ducted to the intake fan that blows intook air up through the actual floor.

But again, what do I know? I've only done this like 50+ times and been through all the stuff you're posting about right now, and it didn't work.

How do you justify bringing in your fresh air above the plants and venting out from above the plants when they breathe from the bottom of their leaves?

That has nothing to do with imagination. If you were burning a ton of C02 it wouldn't be such a big deal as you'd stall your fans while the c02 dropped.. being heavier than air.. and you could suck it back up through the canopy if it wasn't taken in the first time through..

But this.. I dunno. Good luck.

Ambitious project you've got going here dabs :respect: Though I don't agree with his tone and delivery, drysiftwizard is absolutely correct with all his advice. You're setup is likely enough to get you a decent crop to fund the sealed upgrades . Just that it's far from ideal, and your end return and quality will suffer for it. You'd probably do better with a couple less bulbs burning this round though honestly. Ultimately though, do what you feel is right in your room. I'll be watching either way man :joint:. Subbed.

orca film is way better than panda plastic and insulation. Its a bit more expensive but it reflects more light.

Have to agree with Mister and Dry on this one here too. It can be easy to come across harsh like said post have been but all in all I think dry is seriously trying to help you dabs. He comes on here not to brag but take time to give sound advice to you so you don't go through the mistakes we have all done before. Were all about green vibes here bro an I would love to see your grow hit on all cylinders so to speak.

I think a step back is in order to let cooler heads prevail. Grow on brother.:tiphat:

I also second that orca is really good shit. Hl and myself have done testing with light meters, definitely good stuff when it comes to reflection.

I agree with dsw the 8" isnt enough. Ds ill tell ya as an internet friend i think you're being a bit harsh but you know correct cfm needs. Lets all chill and help each other here in a friendly manner :)

Oh and two other things  You definitely need more in room circulation fans. Too many people skip on this extremely important principal of room building, and end up with less yield and mold as a direct result (the problem just amplifies with more lights and plants). Second, keep in mind that once you attach a carbon filter to any fan it's only producing maybe 50-60% of it's rated cfm (less if you bought cheap fans). Doesn't look like you do, but had you needed to add duct you'd be getting even less cfm (i.e 1 90 deg turn in duct costs you ~40% of your fan's cfm). OVERKILL is under rated, sooner you figure this out the better you're life will be. Trust me

His advice is worthless to me... He's an arrogant prick... Also, the inability to read in this thread would have saved a ton of bickering! It's not fucking done yet, ... I already said 6 pages back that if one 12 wasn't enough I would add the other 8 inch fan. Thank you all for your amazing advice, it was greatly appreciated. I'm done updating this thread have a nice day
