I find out way to late to get plans made.. I always shoot for the HT cup...been there twice Old Pink Provided an picture perfect guide Thanks.. Anyway maybe we could have a running thread with INFO & rules for these or others CUPS?

i was thinking along similar lines.

maybe we should organize the next cup by pm?

or maybe a closed forum, which one could only get into, if some one who's known vouches for one? or something..........lol?

that, or we get a security guy at the door. who only lets you in if you take a hit from a bong or a toke from a spliff lol. to avoid uptight none tokers who might have other than good intentions?

mind you we had those tags and security didn't let you in with out them time before last.

Icmag when and where? Good question...I dont know if its me or not but the count down to the cup on the home page isn't counting down anymore..Whats up with that?? If its bad news give it to me slowly!!!! If its me new program blocking it cool !!! Sorry for makin you go check....peace

If there is an icmag 420 it's obviously on april 20th.

The HT cup is long past it's prime and not much past a scam.

There is a small canna cup at cannatrade in Bern Switzerland, but the grass is donated and so-so, mostly outdoor, maybe greenhouse. usually in march-april. but the trade show is much better, and it's basically a good puff down.

In Haarlem there is an Oost Fest in October, I believe. Check Willie Wortal site ala Noel van Schaik. 15 minutes by train from A'dam to town, 15 minute walk to Sensimilla shop.

never been to the cup....been to holland a bunch of times, so i'm sure i will probably be somewhat annoyed by the end of the event due to all the stupidity that may be going on.......but only one way to find that out.........and that's going there.


but i do agree as far as the event's time(thanksgiving that's just dumb) and the amount they charge you it feels kinda lame......but guess i'll have a better description in a couple months.....haha.......laer on

@ TF I agree on several of your points about the CCup and i may not attend the party but i will be there the week before. I don't like crowds and there will be one. No weed.. no bathrooms...just no room.lol Not to mention the voting rules and getting the entrys.
None the less I like the concept just not the execution.

masses are such a tricky thing....on one level they are needed in order to mobilize and be politically impacting but then on the other end they can also turn into a body without a head.....just stumbling about waiting to be lead to the next sign that leads them to the next etc...

personally i do not like being around huge amounts of people......it usually leads to bearing witness to the worst in our species but i've never been to this event and am very interseted to see how the city changes....i've been to the dam 5 times now and have friends that live there and this is just one more step in understanding the city...it takes a couple imo to grasp any city....

i also have some friends from oz and china that i want to meet up and imo life is more about who your with vs where you are.........you could be in the temple of doom but if ya got some mates around it don't feel as bad..........haha

@ mod........better bring me camelback bladder then bro......just incase i can't find a hole to piss in.........haha.........maybe we can get up too......i'm heading in thurs or fri before it really kicks off......

Ive been the last two years and after last year, I think I still may want to go this year, but keep my activities at the actual Cup events limited.

IMO about half (or more) of the shops they select have entries I could beat with what I have in my Stash. The shops get crowded as hell, can't even hear your friends talk. The opening and closing ceremonies are usually decent. Plenty of chronic being lit and passed around you dont necessarily have to use any of yours (but you always do anyway).

Last year, Me and my crew would just grab our entries maybe toke a joint if there was enough space, and bounce to the next one, saved most of the entries for the apartment we rented or walking around the 'Dam.

If I go this year, I will only go to the coffeeshops I trust and spend most of my time there, in a rented apartment, or, hopefully, with some of my fellow IC'heads. I could easily narrow down a list of 21 shops to about 10 or so, with some old favorites not in the Cup as well...

Sounds like a good idea to get there just before the event starts..All the weed should be in town and the crowds are not there yet..Getting a room should be less of a hassle..As far as bathrooms go I guess pulling up a canal wouldn't work hummmmm...peace
