hey guys:) starting up a second journal for some candy cane autos i got for a christmas present. i dont care for autos and will only grow them if they are freeXD i also dont care for crop king seeds as ive went threw 5 packs of them with fuck all germinating. im an organic gardener that started with general organics sample box moved onto building a soil for ROLS and now im building a 65 gallon no till that i plan to have with me untill i build a 100gal no till.

Cultivar: candy cane auto - crop king seeds

Light: 4 foot shop light or 235 watts of cfls

Area: either a 4 foot closet with white walls and two fans. or a 3x3 tent with 2 fans

Soil: bagged soil with added perlite

Nutes: some general not so organic bottles (GO box just to get rid of what i have left)

honestly just popping these cuz im sick of seeing them in my seed collectionXD

ill be starting germination tomorrow and will have pics from the beginning.

Much love

Sudden thought. If i get two of these popped then i will compare general "organics" to using only kelp meal, neem meal, agsil and possibly a malted barley tea once a month. I will be using the teas just like you would with bottled nutrients in the same soil. Its not that fair of a comparison because of phenotypes. But im going to give it a shot anyways.

hmm. they all broke open in 48 hrs. planted in 5 gal root pouches. 4 under the 4 foot shop light. these will be the testers. two with teas and two with the GO box. one was put under two 55watt sunblaster cfls. this is also an organic one:)

The ones on the left are the organic and the ones on the right are the bottles

so that's basically 1 month in now lotus? under cfls? did you go with the 4 ft shop light or the 235 watts?
either way, those plants are stacking up nicely with minimal stretch.
still firmly rooted in my seat watchin this one ;)

they popped above soil on the 21st of feb so they arnt even a month old:) the first two are under the shop light and the last one is under a 55watt and a 45 watt cfl:) they should start flowering anytime but who knows with these thingsXD

oh and also when they start flowering i plan to buy another 125 watt cfl so i have two and i will put them both verticaly on the sides of the #3 and ill have two 55watts on top. autos yield a lot more with vertical lighting since you cant build a flat canopy:)

has anyone seen or done any test on cutting lower branches off vs leaving them?
