I heard that in 1986 Dog the Bounty Hunter brought the crippy and "Dogbud" to Hawaii.
Then in 1991, he brought it to Colorado with him and sold some to Joe B and Pbud.

In 1941 a Japanese plane crash landed just inland of pearl harbor. In 1956 a vial was found in that plane. Within that vial was a single seed, and within that seed was

If this guy has the real then I await the grow reports. If it is couchlock weed then I really don't care.
Other than that it doesn't matter much. Sounds like it could have been genetics out of the underground grows that made its way to hawaii too...or am I really confused?
Outdoor (I assume) Hawaiian was some of the best I ever had but it wasn't an og lol

so dog the clowny hunter came on the scene in 86, this cut is the pre 86! reckon the dog screwed mid 86 and post 86 crippy up? and is it cripeh or cryppie or crippie or crippy or any variation of those but with a k instead? these are the hard questions that must be asked folks

So the PRE 86 crip was named after the crip walk which was an old Roman traditional dance used to bring good harvest for the year. Source I was Roman.

Love the info coming to light recently, hope this lady finds her way to this side of the world before too long.....its often very clear when a cut is 20+ years old, the Exodus Cheese and Triangle both have the same woody stem trait.
Can we see some more pics?
Peace

Interesting suggestions that the HI web indica is part of the equation.

Interesting indeed seeing as Hawaiian Webleaf Indica aka Hawaiian Duckfoot never throws more then 3 finger leaves and most peoples coveted cuts of OG throw alot of 3's and never more then 5 fingers... wonder why that is?:ying:

What may even be more interesting is the fact Nepali Kush which was misspelled correct spelling is "Napali Kush" which is a off spring of the original Crippy clone but that is not of importance at this moment. Enjoy the heritage #believeitornot:peacock:

Deeper mysteries: we know what 70's era OG cholos were smoking, but what were the more ancient real OG pachucos smoking or the bebop musicians for that matter?

people keep showing with the crippy clone, you aren't the first. as a lifelong fla resident and a lover of fine cannabis that's had many nugs of crippy, I still say its slang, not a strain or cut. just more hype to sell genetics. But carry on by all means, plenty of folks will believe you and buy what you sell

West coast Kush slang probably begins late 70's thru 80's breeders experimenting with Pakistani and Afghani varieties, the word itself evokes an exotic myth i.e., "Ya bro I got the kush!" That didn't mean we were smoking OG as we know it today, but rather a general term for cannabis coming from a region we knew little to nothing about. Sure we tried Nepalese and most often didn't give it the correct respect because Haze and chocolate thai had made their mark already. Point being Nepal is proximate to the Himalayas, not the same mountains as Hindu Kush, but sisters nonetheless. Its when we recognized the special affect of those short stout plants that we took notice and bonus it had a special new word to acclimate into vernacular. We have early Norcal farmers to thank for breeding on hill sides , terrace replicating the steppe Kush growth which proves still popular in Kush varieties' modern native farms.

The vibe among growers is always changing, trying to mature into a legitimate industry as if it hasn't been already for decades. I respect the hustle, the game is beautiful because the plant is. Nothing can change the pono and historical love coming out of Hawaii. Nothing will ever change or take away from the genius technique occurring in 90's era FLA. The real challenge for breeders is separating nostalgia from the prospective in the name of progress and well-being.
