there is a weird crinkle/deformation on my chem DX88g13 hashplant, not environmental or ph because none of the other strains have it, and the other strains contain chem, sour, old super skunk genetics but the hashplant D is the only one with g13 in it
YES, same here all other plants are good. I use a 600 w HPS. No mites (thank goodness).
Thanks for chiming in with your thoughts.
I've grown two different killer queens only one had the crinkly leaves.
I only had 2 seeds that sprouted from that pack, only one is small and crinkly, The other looks like a winner for sure. And its starting to show 5 bladed leaves. I think next run, I'm going to veg longer.
Your immediate response could reasonably be "Very sick Plant!!!"
But this is a recurring phenotype in a batch of S1 seeds I made. She looks like shite, but is happily putting out new growth nodes regularly.
I've been germinating these seeds in prep for a S2 generation and they are running about 50/50% this odd little Crinkle, and a fat leaf Indica pheno.
The parent plant that I selfed for these seeds is a polyhybrid with ten parents in the mix, including G13. The mom has been "clone-only" for several decades and I'd like to track down which of the ancestors is responsible for this Crinkle pheno.
FYI, the pictured plant is only a few weeks old and is growing in an Octopot after a transplant a week ago. The roots just hit the reservoir yesterday.
I don't visit IC often but I'll check back for responses.
I am about to do a big seed increase on the 88g13hp mom I hold.
Will be interesting to see if a leaf crinkle appears in the offspring.
Pollen is from an outside source so not from my particular seed lot.
My bet is we see some variations and outliers in the seeds created.
So far I have not seen "leaf crinkle" in the 88g13hp stuff I have ran.
Not sure the makeup of "88g13hp"
reeferman's G13 was Airborne G13 x (airborne g13 x santa marta columbian gold)
I'm about to try and sprout some of those on Boxing Day
I smoked my crinkly leaf plant last night. Excellent smoke, definitely a keeper. The buds were kind of small but so was the plant.
I'll let her veg longer this time. She is a slow grower, and small.
