Cops... (The Show)

I think most of the cops on the show are pretty polite, and at least pretend to be interested in people's lives and helping them out in their situation. I've never really seen an asshole cop on that show, although I'm sure some of them are just putting on a show for the cameras. As far as them beating people up, most of the people on that show deserve to have their fucking asses kicked anyway.

yeah Cops in Moscow WAS messed up. I remember they went to someone's house and I remember them punching some guy in the face. Might have been a woman even...I think they pulled someone over and made the person drive them (in her car) to the police station - after she had gone on a high-speed chase and tried ramming the cop car. :fsu:

We have it bad in america sometimes in certain places, but in the rest of the world, shit is crazy.

Mr Tony brought back a memory if a show...

Anyone remember the show (Had a decent name) it was Strictly SWAT, all they really did was raids (I hate to admit it, that is my favorite part)...Perhaps the title of the show will come to me, I was around 1989 it may have lasted 2 seasons...

Actually, it may have been called "Bad Boys" kinda a spin-off of COPS.

LOL, I used to watch "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" with their Cheesey re-enactments :

I'm torn on watching the show & so I don't (I used to) anymore. It's
good to see the tactics that they use to investigate/invade peoples
homes/cars/property....... it's really bad though to see them getting
away with usually nothing short of gestapo tactics and behavior.

I wonder how many episodes of cops dont make the cut? You never really see the criminals get away, too bad they never show when the cops fuck up.

It makes me sick when i see grow ops get busted. They arrest the grower in front of his family. Destroy everything, sieze property, and for what? Fuckin pigs, go find some meth labs, or heroin trafficers or any kind or real criminal

The following were taken off of actual police car videos around the country.

"Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch out after you wear them awhile."

"Take your hands off the car, and I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document."

"If you run, you'll only go to jail tired."

"Can you run faster than 1,200 feet per second? In case you didn't know, that is the average speed of a 9 mm bullet fired from my gun."

"So you don't know how fast you were going. I guess that means I can write anything I want on the ticket, huh?"

"Yes, Sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh ... did I mention that I am the shift supervisor?"

"Warning! You want a warning? O.K., I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket."

"The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

"Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy, and step in monkey poop."

"Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven."

"In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC."

"Just how big were those two beers?"

"No sir we don't have quotas anymore. We used to have quotas but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we want."

"I'm glad to hear the Chief of Police is a good personal friend of yours. At least you know someone who can post your bail."

"You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here."

You know when I watch cops I think they use excessive force, and that is when the camera is running. I see them grind people's faces into the concrete and tell them to quit resisting. Isn't it human nature to resist your face being pushed into the pavement.

Exactly, like I said in my first post.

I like to see how US police do things (for obvious reasons). I'm always shocked how rough they are with some people. I've been in that situation enough times...You rough someone up, ANYONE with instincts to protect themselves is going to "resist".

Like I stated before...you would think that excessive force "taped" would be admissible in court...:chin:

I have a cousin by marriage that was a sheriff in Pierce County Washington. I seen him on cops. Nicest guy you ever seen. I had been to his wedding and everything. He quit the force and lives in San Diego now with this his boy friend.

I like the tv show Cops... but I can't stand that one retired sheriff that makes the rounds on all the cop spinoffs... what a prick.
He always ends up saying something like... "he'll have plenty of time to think about it... BEHIND BARS..."

I hate all those 'reality' propaganda TV shows. I love how the cops are always all nice on most of the police oriented reality shows and act all human, but have zero compassion or tolerance when it comes to IRL situations. Shows like Cops, 48 Hours, and some of those Court TV 'documentaries' are just pure conditioning. You never see the episodes where they beat their heads in, execute illegal searches, or violate someones privacy to turn up nothing.

Ya, I bet there is way more footage of perps getting away and cops getting owned than there is of them catching criminals. They should show that shit on TV. Now that would be good TV!

Never watched much of it, too depressing for those unfortunate people.

A woman calling the cops because another lady ripped her off $20 for a rock isn't unfortunate, its Hilarious!!
