Exactly. How much of the public's money went to overtime for the extra officers to hand them out? How much of the public's money went to purchase the specialty labeled bags? You can bet it wasn't a cheap 'we're your friends' campaign. Those motherfuckers don't do anything without an ulterior motive. Maybe concealed cameras to record the faces of everyone that took a bag? What better way to do surveillance? Just can't trust a cop.

I went to Hempfest on Friday. It was cool, cops were cool. I even waved at a bunch of them just chilling in a small group and they waved back. I think I may have looked a little bit like the press with all the camera gear I was carrying and so on, but yeah, it was a fun time.

I would like to note that Hempstalk in Portland is much smaller, much friendlier and not as crowded. Hempstalk seemed less commercial than Hempfest. Just my opinion.

of course the resentment and animosity run deep for leo, cops, pigs whatever you wanna call them. but lots of you wanting to treat them shitty 'cause you got weed rights in place is no way to gain respect from anyone, cops or the public.

a few cops will always hate stoners & fuck with us even if you're in a legal state, other cops would rather happily walk away from something they know damn well is harmless, most of them have tried weed whether they admit it or not.


anyway back my original thought, lots of you would be pleased in treating those cops @ the Hempfest like shit.

I had a headlight out & got pulled over in the pouring rain, when the red lights started flashing I had to put the joint out, I was in my van meaning there was NO clearing the smoke from the back, it reeked!

the cop took my license/reg/insurance and mentioned that he recognized me as a local taxi driver (& hey! I recognized him as a cop). He said "I'll be right back with your summons" to which I replied, "I sure could use a break sir."

He didn't act pissed but in a stern voice he said, "break? I'll give ya a break. Do I smell something burning in your van?" ~~~ realizing that he was still inclined to ignore my indiscretion I quickly & politely said "No sir you do not."

He wrote me up a ticket & let me on my way. NY has no weed laws and so it was a matter of his tolerance and perhaps awareness that weed is not as debilitating to driving skills as alcohol, you can be damned sure that if he smelled booze on my breath I'd have gone to jail.


and so as time goes by more & more cops will realize that stoners are mellow, friendly and pretty good drivers, in some cases they're exceptional drivers like Bobby Stainless. anyway I think it's better diplomacy to continue and extend the good vibes and karma to all you/we have contact with, even leo.


I've gotten out of several wicked charges by showing respect, twice getting caught with coke.

^I may have all the fury of the sun in my head, but when talking to police I am always respectful. Why poke the bear over the little things, when I temp fate on a daily basis with my grows.

Its all a power game for the pigs. the idea is to change the national idea of what a cop is, so their power trip is an unacceptable form of behavior. They should be more like cross guards and less like soldiers.

However an apology to us for over half a century of cannabis persecution is in order, and until they can do that then they are all persona non grata to me.
