cops are rippers: how common in California?

I was listening to the Joe Rogan podcast with Adam Carolla this fine evening, during which Joe talked about how his "good friend" almost certainly got robbed by cops.

Apparently, Joe's good friends neighbor called the police about an outdoor grow on said friends property. The police investigated and concluded that the grower was, indeed, legally growing, and simply left him alone. A week later, the man was broken into by an armed assailant who yelled "freeze" upon breaking down the door. The guy replied "Freeze? Am I being robbed by a fucking cop?", and then the story gets hazy.

Joe Rogan isn't one to tell a lie, so I assume this is all true. Apparently the guy was forced to leave his home, etc.

How common is this in med states these days?

Extraordinary if true, still, an amazing example of how wrong it is to make growing a harmless plant illegal, we got people being robbed by trained policemen. At least no one was hurt.

Personally I hav had experience both,rippers and cops. I see no real difference other than the cops had more guns n shit. Well, the lovely members of law enforcement stole more than just my cannabis. And well, one of them masterbated in some educational porn I had. And well,Threatend to kick my 13 year old shepard awake. And well, made me pay for their vist and the gas for the helly. And well, trashed my home. I guess rippers might be better after all. fuck m all

maybe it was the neighbor. you act like anyone cant say "freeze"
he could have called the cops, knowing it was a legal grow, then wait a week, rob him and yell freeze.
hell, you can buy uniforms, badges, and police lights for your car online

if it was cops, im sure it will catch up to them at some point. once that happens, who the fuck will hire them. dirty cops can rot in hell, hell, even non dirty cops...

its much more common for a cop to just take something in uniform/while on duty then it is for the same cop to dress up while off duty, with a gun, and try to rob someone.

yea im not sure that cops are risking losing their jobs to rob grows.....i do know that some rippers like to impersonate cops when they rob people...my old roomie was robbed by some kids driving a white undercover cop car...

While I lived in the US I have seen "things happening" that would cause me a lot of negative attention from places with the evidence I could post here.

Back then @ first I always thought "Cops just do their job" but man unfortunately most do more than just that.

I got ripped once of about 60 plants outdoors in August. They were just starting to flower. If it was rippers I hope they coughed what brains they had out. If it was cops they were not any smarter. I no longer put all of my eggs in the same basket.

There is a reason it comes as no surprise to me cops do dirty things.

After all, we do call them pigs for a reason. Pigs are known to be dirty animals who love to wallow in filth.
