Cool Tubes.. anyone else run one?

The tubes heat up but you an place your hand on top of them and leave it there. I actually just finished my wiring today and don't have them running on timer yet because I only have 9 babies in there freshly transplanted waiting on thier 15 other sisters. So the 9 are chillin under a vertical 400mh. So I do not have a temperture for you yet, but I am confident it will be within a good range. Cool tubes work

This thread has given me new hope and respect for my tube.. I do believe better air circulation would resolve most of my problems. To prove this I put a large box fan in one end for now and added a passive hole drawing from the A/C controlled bedroom..

The air is now being pulled thru the cool tube so well it has it whistling just a bit.. the tube is NOT hot to the touch and can actually be lowered within inches of the plants using my YO-YO hangers. And I can see the advantage this new Lumatek digital ballast with dimmer switch can come in handy for starting babies and getting the light right on top of them at a lower power if needed.


Tonight I added a 500w/65w Flourex light to my cabinet.. it keeps a nice vegetative growth going while things continue to bud up, thus adding more weight in the end.. ran this outdoors for a security light and my palms went bonkers under it.. more photos soon as this room comes together..

Joe Hawkins.. are those cool tubes or the bakers glass converted into tubes.. just wondering as the ends look bare. I looked into those and making my own but thought the glass was thinner.. your setup looks nice though. simple and clean..
