cool nighttime temps & stretch

high everyone... My current grow of white rino from seed has been flowering for 13 days. I fliped after the plants had showed there sex, they look green and healthy, and there are pistols breaking out everywhere. My ? is about stretch, my temps are about 80 with the lights on, but are dropping to the 60s with the lights out. For 2 weeks flower these plants have stretched the least of any grow ive done, less then a foot. Does cool temps affect stretch? My last grow off grapefruit had more than trippled in size after 2 weeks 12/12. WTF is going on?

cheers

i bet she is just a slow starter...i have had white rhino from seed that did not stop the stretch for 30 days and take up to 90 days to finish

yes a 20 degree swing in temp will cause a great deal of stretch. try to lower the day time temp by a few degrees and raise the night tim temp so the difference is between 10 and 15 degrees.

Plants genetics are all different. I have had plants that barely doubled in height and others that went 4 times the height. Its not uncommon for day/night temps to differ 25 degrees in nature, so I wouldnt sweat it....

so are you complaining about the lack of stretch?....lol, usually its the opposite.

a big difference in day and night or lights on/off will increase the stretch... but stretching is not good.

who told you all cold temperatures make plants stretch?

stretching is just extra plant growth. plants do most of their growing at night anyway. they collect light in the day and then use it at night. like solar panels. cold temperatures slows down plant growth.

im not an expert or anything im just going on experience. cold temps dont make your plants stretch, if anything it would make them stretch less. but thats not necessarily a good thing since like i said cold temps slow plant growth.

My white russians have doubled in size, barely...and my night time temps are about 20* below daytime. These are indica dominant however.
