Convert 120v ballast to 240v and 240v receptacle question

Good job!
With a sealed room I would use dry ice or a tank of co2, definitely no burner.
So your thermostats will switch both of your hot wires it sounds like with 4 wires per thermostat, just what you wanted. Just remember never to plug a 120v device into your 240 volt receptacles - maybe some red tape on it. . .

One last thing - the receptacle is only rated for 120v at 15 or 20 amps or 1,800 watts so split the loads up accordingly, you may need a few receptacles.

fumancu, you were making me start to doubt my knowledge and work.

The only way to be certain was to find my clamp meter and measure the amp load going through the wire with one light on. See picture.

My knowledge tells me it would read out at 4.5-5 amps. From what you kept on stating, I guess it would of come out at around 9.5. Well, i looked all over the place for it and I couldn't find it. And, I noticed you deleted several of yours posts, so I can only assume one thing.

Never-the-less, it's always good to side on the way of caution.

Thanks.

I'm running a tank of CO2, regulator and ppm sensor.
