Are we allowed to mention other liquors? Patron tequila, Skyy vodka, Tanqueray gin (or Bombay), Sailor Jerry rum. And Bacardi Spice when they still made it.

I had a rough night with a bottle of scotch when I was 15. It took me 20 years to get over that. I actually appreciate the taste of a good whiskey these days. I had some nice Wild Turkey Rye just a couple weeks ago.

I actually really like Costco's Blended Canadian Whisky as well as their Spiced Rum.

Kirkland - It'll get you drunk! They actually make decent liquor when it's $14 for a 1.75 liter bottle. Their American vodka is way better than the cheap vodka they sell at most liquor stores. Their spiced rum is cheap and good.

thinking beam single barrel tonight

Nice!

Picked up a bottle of Wathen's Kentucky Straight Bourbon this week. Nothing crazy, just good. Straight or with an ice cube. good to go.

Watched bourbontucky the other day. Nothing groundbreaking, but fun to hear the ole master distillers stories

Ahhh my people, I am sipping some very nice wheat whiskey as we speak and I have a bourbon recommendation from the same distillery. I am not sure if y'all will be able to find this stuff but maybe you are lucky like me and your state has a searchable database of booze. Check this shit out, I can look for specific booze and then see who the closest place that has it and what it cost. http://www.oregonliquorsearch.com/home.jsp

Anyway my go to bourbon was Makers Mark until I found this little liquor store by my work that has knowledgeable people working there and they hipped me to C.W. Erwin bourbon, smoothest 80 proof shit you will ever part your lips for. Well without spending $50 a shot.

The whiskey I am drinking tonight is Ottis Webber Oregon Wheat Whiskey and it is delicious!

Check them out. http://oregonspiritdistillers.com/

I enjoy fast food, drive an old truck and think big bud is a perfectly good strain.

Whisky is the only thing I'm snobby about.

I really can't comprehend enjoying any alcohol more than a heavily-peated scotch. It's the most unique, wonderful taste I've ever had in any culinary capacity.

Grants Whisky

Grants Whisky

had some scotch last night called grants , wasnt bad , anyone know anything bout this brand ?

Here it is, straight from the book.....

William Grant and sons first blended whisky in 1898, a dozen years after members of the Grant family had built Glenfiddich Distillery on the outskirts of Dufftown. Initial progress was slow, with William Grant's son in law Charles Gordon famously making 181 calls before selling his first case. However, the brand gradually built up a dedicated following at home and abroad, and today in terms of market share occupies fourth place on a global basis behind Johnnie Walker, Ballantine's and J&B. The blend that carries no age statement, sells in more than 180 countries around the world....

I have tried the standard and 12 year old Grant's a number of times and think they are both decent bottles of scotch for there price. A reasonably strong tasting whisky....

Wow, not one mention of Old Forester 86 proof Bourbon. It has got to be the best dollar for dollar buy in bourbon. Most low end bourbons today are 80 proof- you cant get the good taste until you hit 86. In MD, you can get a 1.75 ltr for $32, thats like $14 a fifth. Nothing that good on the shelf at that price.

..its disgusting. Not just flavor profile, cuz fuck that when you're talking 20 dollar bourbons. If money is that tight and you're still talking about getting drunk, the difference matters.

It's low quality. Grain, mostly. Revolting stuff.

If you're doing other drugs, and want a cheap bottle, buy buffalo trace
