Finally, a day off!!!!and some harvest shots...

Howdy all, sorry Ive been super-busy as of late, but today I kinda got a day off, so I took some time to upload my harvest shots and give u huys somethin to drool over or , whatever floats ur boat..LOLAnyhow, I chopped a BMR last week cause she was ready and her buds were not gonna get bigger, so....and then I just chopped 4 more girls the other night, 1 NL, and 3 BMR. I got 4 nice, big main colas, and alot of popcorn buds, not too bad all in all...I plan to chop the rest in a week or 10 days, and then some revegging of my purple AK's and my tastiest BMR girl, as well as the bagseed babies I have in veg right now as well...see other post for that....Well guys, onto the porn shots. BG, I think I finally am gettin this cam figgered out, and BR, I have yet to down load a photoshop program, but any day now...Enjoy the pics...
The pics are a little mixed..some harvest shots and some budshots still on the vine...

Sweet lookin harvest bro! Congrats. Trichs look juicy sticky. They should cure up real nice.

See the difference when you take a pic under the red grow light? That's why I was saying try to time your pic taking to just before the light turns on. or sometimes when the lamp is warming up it's not as strong of a red spectrum till it's hot.

Now, to get yourself a cheap $20 tripod would be the next step. specially for those macro shots. It'll clean them right up. You have a great camera for macro shots obviously from the pics you just posted. but close inspection shows it's still a bit shakey.

Hey Zeus, nice harvest man. They look nice and frosty, how was the trichs? Cloudy, amber? I like to double harvest, or even triple harvest my grows, especially the first time around with a strain. It helps to find the stone you like the best. I also sometimes like a couch stone and other times a nice high, but one that I can still be slightly productive lol. The macro's are coming along too, agree with BG, get yourself a tripod and you'll be set. Now I'm just waiting on the purp!!! Awesome grow man ... CFL stuns me again.....

Hey Bg and BR, thanks for the props, you guys are a great support for a grower who is always doubting himself..lol...Yea, so not the greatest yield, but frosty, dense and potent they are definitely!!!! Ive test smoked a few of the BMR and NL, as well as the BM, and one of the purple AK's...they are all tasty as hell and pack a very nice, potent stone, and that was over a week ago, so they'll be even better now and after a good cure...BR - I like your idea of staggered harvests, and thats exactly what Im doin...The plants I just chopped all had mostly cloudy trichs with a few amber here and there and almost no clear. The stones so far have been mostly heady like a sat/indy mix should be, then movin into the body a litttle after a while...POtent for sure, and one of them made my legs wobble, but I dont remember which one...lol!!!
The rest of the girls have about a week left, Im just seein amber trichs as of yesterday. Im gonna let these go longer so I can get a nice couchy stone from them...DAMN, I cant wait to chop that AK48, her sister got chopped last nite...nice purple calyxes just burstin with resiny goodness...smells like grape cotton candy after the trim...yummmmm!!!!Anyhow guys, gotta go eat dinner, but Ill be around and back with full harvest pics in a week, so stick around...

High yields are over rated. It's all about the best smoke when you're growing personal man.

^ Damn...that's some good advice (You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Black Ra1n again.) I think I'll try that with all new strains I usually just let them go red as hell

I've always been a fan of giving the advice to read a cameras manual. You always find so many individual characteristics with each model.
I'm really glad you got to know your camera better...now you'll be expected to satisfy us with all your great budshots!

Hey guys, howz it goin???Well, I bit the fuckin bullet and finally chopped the rest of the girls down...Ive been checkin the trichs for a week or more now everyday, and I was finally convinced they were done...resiny, frosty goodness, and OHHH, the scissor hash, WOW... that shit was soo smooth and tasty...So I know u all are jonesin for shots of the purple AK's, so.....

(this is me smokin a big spliff and thinkin about all the beautiful buds I got dryin in my closet)!!!!LOL.........but seriously folks, this is what we have all been waiting for, the final harvest/chop, and more importantly, the Purple AK48 chop!!! Well, my friends and neighbors, the wait is finally over, I checked the trichs on the rest of the ladies this morning, and decided it was time to chop them bitches down!!! They were all displaying about 80-90% cloudy, and 10-20% amber, although it was a little hard to tell with the purple ak, because the trichs are fuckin purple!!! Amazing looking things...anyhow, without further ado, I give u all the final harvest, hold the fuck on!!!!!

Before I 4get...I put the 2 purp AK's and the 2 best smelling, stickiest BMR girl s into new pots today. i trimmed the rootballs down, and potted them into perfect bonsai-size pots with some fresh Pro-Mix BX I picked up today. Its got Mycchorizal fungi in it, as well as d.lime, perlite, peat moss, vermiculite, and I dont know what else, but its good stuff!!! Anyhow, they are under the CFL's on 18/6 with the bagseed babies...I can only hope for the best, any revegging advice will be very helpful. So, this grow may be over, but this thread continues, just watch out, I may get nuts and just start a new thread, but Ill let u all know. Peace. Whew, Im tired now.....

Awsome Job my friend. The AK looks stunning. I agree with TML 100% that quantity should be the last thing on your mind. You got some great smoke there for yourself. The only time you need to worry about quantity is if you find your stash runs out before the next harvest can be cured. (The only reason I post weights of dry harvest is for the lurkers wonderin how much a strain may harvest or how much a cab might do)

I stagger my harvests with new strains as well....

Did you ammend the Pro-Mix BX? ... I found it really needed Dolomite Lime added and Perlite ...big time...just my .02

THANKS FOR CHECKIN IN GUYS!!! Krazay - I was using 8 42w CFL's for 14 plants, surprisingly enuf, the buds are fuckin rock hard, even the little popcorn buds!!! I think I lucked out big time on this grow with the yield, and the density of the buds...Im gonna do a scrog next to maximize my yield and best utilize the CFL light...Stick around buddy...its gonna be a fun show.Later all.

hey thanks man...I forgot to tell u guys...i put the 2 purple AK's and my 2 nicest BMR's into 1 gal pots the other day...I trimmed the rootball down to practically nothing, a la MedUser, and put them into some fresh ProMix BX, gave em water and they are now under the cfl's on 18/6...Reveg time!!!!Im already startin to see some new shoots forming!!!Cool.Peace

agreed^^^^^ ...no more bag shwag ..make a stand. Besides....how much does it suck buying tomatoes from the store in the middle of winter....same goes for buying herb when you're out....it's just so sub-par after smoking the kind herb you grew yourself.

Speaking of which....tomatoes go in the ground today....Yay!!!!!!
