I love tent grows. These are my fav. Lookin good bro, big pots and little roots. They won't be drinking much till they take hold. Check in my signature, a couple 3x3 grows from bean. Too much fun!

I vote for topping early. i just finished a tent from seed and the one I accidentally topped really out yielded the rest and it finished as tall as it's sisters too.
plants are looking good.

I almost always top my plants. I topped them all a couple days ago chopped off everything above the 4th node on each. Going to make sure to get a cut or two off each before flower too. I am sure I will find something worth keeping around for a while.

Day 25 from seed, still vegging for another week or so, maybe 35 days veg from seed tops before I flip. Soon though...

Some are doing better/more vigourous than the others but have all bushed well after topping. I am digging the mulch, never mulched before and Im already seeing results, live clover and dead old fan leaves. Dries out much slower than without and the top of the soil stays nice and moist. Gave them an ACT close to a week ago other than that just straight RO water, new soil mix is doing great so far.

Also took a cut off each girl last night.

Heres the girls, Chem Cookies 6 on left, 3 on right are 3 different OX clones.

Some mulch shots, live clover growing through the leaf mulch.

I went off camping for a few days up in the mountains. Gave the girls a good watering 1qt each before I left and 3 days later, BAM. Overgrown a touch, so tomorrow is day 1 of 12/12 (day 30 from seed).

Here are some pics from day 29 from seed, this new soil mix and my LEDs are really impressing me, so far anyway. Going to need to do a bit of defoliation without a doubt, and trimming of undergrowth.

Chem D Cookies 6 on left, OXs 3 on right.

Very nice beuno you freaking led grows amaze me!! I am gonna have to get you to build me some of those units. I am so freaking impressed with your grows you have done with them. Just think a few hundred bucks that you put together yourself blows away some of these exspensive led lights on the market and you are only using what 300w.

My hats off to you brother! Plants are looking amazing and like I said I just love that you built your own LEDs that are kicking ass!

Thanks man, they are crazy these CREE COBs, plus selecting the most efficient LEDs and selecting the drive currents yourself, you can really build some efficient kick ass LEDs. Total draw at the wall socket is 220w including driver losses and heatsink fans/adapter for the COB modules. ~190w LED dissipation (actual power to the LEDs). Im only running 31.6w per sq ft @ a little over 42% efficiency.

Glad you can see how effective they are, I think as the components get cheaper over the next couple years more people will switch over. Maybe DIYing scares some people off but for those willing its well worth it IMO. I spent around $300-350 total to build my LED setup and I have harvested a little over 3.5oz dry off the 100w 2 COB setup and over 8oz last harvest with the 190w 3 COBs and R/B bars setup. Already paid for itself many times over. Pretty happy with this setup and will be sticking with it for a good while I think.

Muy Bueno! Looking really healthy all around in here! Have you noticed any difference in your testers? I noticed out of the 6 i got 2 have a different look then other 4 with slightly thinner leafs and one of them out of those 2 has the Chem D MV leaf issue look on a few leafs. The other 4 look just like my last GSC testers with wide fat leaves. So today is first day of bloom for you? Im excited see what is in store for you.

I have looked a bit at the 6 ladies and I saw only one spot on one that had the lighter green odd patch on one fan leaf. All 6 look pretty uniform for the most part, 4 look really similar and two are a hair shorter and maybe little wider fans on those two but not much. Pretty early to tell though, Im sure come mid-late flower the differences will be more noticeable between phenos.

Thanks for making it in ojd, hoping to do these some justice. Today is day 4 12/12 already :woohoo:.

There are too many variables to tell for sure but the higher efficiency you build your LED lighting, the higher the light to heat ratio that is put off.

There is a ton of excellent reading in the LED subforum over on rollitup, that is where I read and learned everything. Id check some threads out over there, you will learn so much.
