some people dont know what to look for in good bud honestly.. they think smell and if they see crystalls there good.. most people ive delt with honestly. rather me sell them super dry buds that were not cured just let hang dry for 10 -12 days and then trim .. and serve.. and thats the best bud they ever smoked hands down.. but most of the people who know what there talking abuot and know good buds. will be able to tell if it was cured properly or not.. iuno.. before i got serious about this business i used to sell non cured to the people who liked crumbly weed .. and cured weed to the people like me ! lol sorry to rant. but i went threw the same thing.. kid bought a quarter complained about the buds being wierd then next week same bud same everything just put a different name on it to see if he knew his shit or not... nope.. he says its the best of the best and he only wants that stuff.. wen i tell him its the same as before hes shocked and doesnt believe me. thinks its gotta be different cause he got retarded off it the second time cause he worked himself up.

Quoted for truth.

maybe you arent curing long enough?? Another week in your jar instead of the bag might give it that dank before you give to him. just a thought...

Also true. It's usually pretty fresh when we have this conversation.

Doesn't bud get more potent after curing?

I've heard several stories of people smoking bud thats been stored a long time, getting absolutely blitzed.

Also know from experience that weed that has been dried quickly on a dehydrator, isnt as good as the same weed allowed to dry and cure slowly..

Very true. Couple month old seems to bring out the best in it.

tbh the customers always think they know best and as said already, many like it dry to fuck and cant care about a cure.

He saw it dry. It's like a kid who is used to fast food goes to a fancy restaurant and won't eat the cheese burger cus it looks weird. The paitty has all these weird black marks and it is pink in the middle.

Correct organics are not easy. But that was to help illustrate my point of this gentleman not seeing things for what they are, but instead seeing things how they are sold to him.

youre a saint for befriending the dude

It's got its own stench to it. Best I can put in words sour lime armpit funk. It's from the SB bx3/4

kinda sounds like mine.

kinda my own creation, mix of 3 commercials and 3 bagseeds.

it was a very unstable mix though, even had some really weird looking sativa type plants, buds that grew straight up, single file.

and some smelled really nice.

but most sorta looking like yours and smelling like some offensive body odour.

pretty bland smoke the one´s that were like that.

it smelled better with a mh and was more potent.

but not alot. bit.

never saw any improvement with curing, just hay smell that faded into nothing but vague haysmell.

it was an allright daysmoke that got you high without being really high, lacked something for the creative or couchlock, was allright doing stuff, felt fine without noticing the high particularily.

but once you thought about it, kinda missed more "deep" smoke.

If harvested too early then it smells like hay. fruit ripens best on the vine. If I have to harvest early, because Im getting low, its then I notice more of a hay smell.

Doesn't the hay smell come from unused chlorophyll in the plants?

not sure, but I know the longer fruit (apples, oranges, etc) stays on the tree the sweeter it gets, however, they fall off by themselves eventually, buds dont. so a scope is very important with cannabis.

I have no idea whatsoever, but I'd imagine commercial weed gets cured longer than most homegrown, due to the shipping alone. I'd never thought about that until now, but that may be why some people might think its better....IDK.. im just glad i said yes and inhaled that first time, commercial or not, my eyes were opened!!!!

Granted, a scope is important, but my point was, if there's unused chlorophyll in the plants, they're not really ready for the chop.:)

Sounds like you're surrounded by tards.
Na man atleast in countries without a legal scene this is quite usual. People dont know shit and when you come with something unusual they think it sucks. Had people prefer commercial weed(including pesticides. Shaken through Pollinator. Then sprayed with brix and squashed on transport. Uncured and overly wet) over my dank organic month long cured outdoor. :comfort:
And the legal scene here in Holland sucks. They arent educating the customers most of them are bullshitting and ripping them off.

I have had this same problem for years. The best thing you can do is educate, and keep growing consistently great nugs. Eventually they will get it. It will take years though. You have to unprogram these people.

Here if you say it is "Medical Marijuana from California" then it goes fast. Now what I have done is educate and ask then if it is so great then way did the grower decide to ship it out of State when they could have sold it in state "legally".

Then I go through all of the things that the cartels do to their pot. I also go through the chemicals that can be used to ensure a successful crop even though they had hella spider mite infestation. I basically break it down so they realize that they have no idea what is actually in it, and to question it.

My questions all apply to it being organic and chemical free. I know that does not matter to everyone, but it does around here. So all I can do is educate, and over the years people have started to recognize quality.

Keep it up. They will learn eventually.

I feel you man

I feel you man

Yo im in your same situation. THere are a few people that think my shit isnt as good as some beaster/fire. You say its from cali and they put the pussy on a pedestal. I give them a great run of some wifi and they dont feel it as much as some other stuff. I LOVE my wifi and I feel its some rare funk and is definitely some of the best stuff. For some reason homegrown has a bad connotation in my area. Shame on them, for not knowing its the bastard cali weed they cant sell on their end that comes our way. Especially old school weed doesnt fly over here anymore, its a shame because it could be some fire but they will hold their noses up anyway.

Commercial v homegrown:

My first harvest, l shared some buds with people I knew. Sensi Star by D9 Labs.
No one said this is homegrown. Most were in a kind of speechless stupor, mumbling about decent weed and such, drool slowly pooling onto slumped chest.

The buds were airy and not trimmed well. Taken early, no doubt. Next harvest I grew better, and cured well.

Shit blows 'em away easily. Best ever home grown they say! I grow micro, so no commercial amounts to sell. I have never smoked any commercial that was close in comparison. I don't know any other growers, so my options are limited.
