Colorado Seed Banks

Great posts Jhhnn and homebrew. Congrats ongoing rec too. I have previously purchased RD seeds from a local dispensary. Then the laws changed and shops could only sell seeds produced on premisis. I was bummed when I went back to buy more and they were like ..sorry we cant sell beans anymore only subpar flower. That sent me back to black market of seeds. It is really frustrating and illogical that in a state that herb is legal we still have to order our seeds from Spain or the U.K. . LOL @ keif... I like that idea...value added products... I think they tried that in mexico ...

People were selling seeds and cuttings were handed out at the end of the day from one of the LED vendors. Seeds all around and some were priced better than others. One vendor/breeder who is an active member of this site was there in person and selling his seeds. I'll let them speak up for themselves though or you could dig around just a little bit and find some more info.

yes seeds are available at the cup in denver, last year, bog, rare dankness, bodhi, archive, sin city, LOUD and several others were all there selling seeds (even BC Bud Depot one year, lol).
and i was there handing out seeds, trading... not the only individual doing it either.

getting seeeds from amsterdam is the hard part... customs and what not, especially for things (seeds) coming into the country to be sold... not gonna happen, even industrial hemp seeds get snatched up by customs.
so NO those big A.dam names are not readily available in CO,
yes, perhaps the market exists (altho imo better genetics are coming from CO & CA nowadays that from Europe), but there are plenty of american seed makers/sellers that fill that gap, not to mention individuals making seeds for trade.

I just ordered from a local, Colorado seed distributer. I got some gear from both BOG and Greenpoint, and I'll let you know when they arrive and how long they take. I have also gotten seeds from overseas, and they made it, but like Avinash said, the local genetics are usually superior to what you'd order from overseas, unless you were looking for something very specific.

might need to wait another year till people have more money to throw around, but having a boutique brand would be some good marketing, but that shits gonna pop off in nyc or la not denver
