yeah totally...these so called care givers are just looking for $$$..

so what am I supposed to do with all the paperwork filled out? It's not like I can get Mike's picture ID that fast..I doubt I could even get a hold of him to get it..I dunno..

I'm just gonna call the Dept. of Health tomorrow and ask for help...

I would cxall Green Mounain Care and give them 24 hours to respond to you or let them know you will procede without a cg. If you don't hear from them then fill out a new cg form and check the box "none" and send it in.
GMC dropped the ball on that one. As of 8-31-09 every Patient and cg must submit a picture id, it's all over the State site, and if a disp is going to provide a service they need to do it correctly.

Now your still covered with your signed recommendation until you get your card.

damnit!! I sent in my paperwork on Sep. 10th and just got back a letter saying that I have to have a picture ID of my caregiver..which happens to be Green Mtn Care...never in the entire process did those guys at Green Mtn say I needed a picture ID of my caregiver..

I'd send in your paperwork without a cg. you can always send in your 'change of caregiver' form later. you don't need to have the cg listed on your license...more freedoms for you that way :2cents:

why didn't anyone say anything about a friggin picture ID of the caregiver?

So now I go back to the bottom of the pile and have to send it back in and wait for 2 months or more...

dammit!

I never saw anything that said I needed a picture ID of the caregiver...is this my fault?

Am I wrong to think Green Mtn is shady? They are being investigated ya know...

The whole caregiver thing is bs anyways...you get a reccomend...a card, you grow your own...these guys running dispensaries are just out to make money...

when was your paper work/ recommendation signed? when I went into the cdphe I asked the guy who took my paper work if I needed this and he told me no since my papers were dated before 8-31. I was just wondering if I might run into the same problem..I hope not, considering that I went in there so if there was a problem with my paper work it could be addressed then and there.

Hey again, thanks for the replies. So if I understand correctly there is postively no way future or present employers or landlords will find out you have a medicinal card unless you directly tell them. What happens if they try to search for that info?

There have been instances where the DEA raids dispensaries, then takes all of the paperwork, computers, patient files, the whole works. If that were to happen, then I believe that the FED's would know.

Just a thought, you said "no way". Well, there's a way. :fsu:

Wow, I hadn't heard about the new stipulation requiring the photo ID of CG's.
I must have gotten my application in just before this went into effect, (my ap. was sent off in mid Aug.)
...Speaking of which, my card finally arrived on Friday!! :jump: Hip Hip Hooray! :kos:

I hope this finds everyone properly medicated!! :smoke:

The new rules are a little complicated but check the state's website it should have a list of what you need.

But also id suggest just dumping them as your CG i bet you could make a Dispensary in the fort or boulder your CG and still get better/cheaper meds than form Green Mtn, even with gas money. IMHO it's best to stay away from the most expensive dispensary in colorado.

intresting, my girlfriend just had her dr apointment and they mentioned they need a copy of my drivers licence for proof of caregiver at the state. I agree this could lead to some knocks on the door, just stick within the limits. Or hire the broker to get you some cards.

On another note, what the heck happend to the CO MMJ clone thread?

Caregivers MUST BE on top of this for their patients!!!! They all better be licking stamps right NOW with photos to each and every one of their patients. If any of you get any crap, change your caregiver IMMEDIATELY since something is obviously up if you aren't getting prompt response about such an important legal matter.

Wouldn't they need a warrant to do that? :chin:
I know no one's walking into my house w/o one. :nono:

Of course, having a lawyer on retainer, is always a good idea.

Also your card is a certificate NOT a license. That means there is enforcement to come check you out. No audits on plant numbers or number of patients. NOTHING!
If they come-a-asking just politely state that you'll talk it over with your Attorney and get back to them, if you answer the door that is.

I got my license yesterday!!!! Just have to send in the paper work. Oh and about the job issue, after I paid my $120 I found out that the Feds and the State can check your certificate whenever they want even for job applications, but no one knows if they do. I may be screwed when I graduate now, but hopefully not.

That's not true. The law (amendment 20) ONLY allows for the registry to verify certain info that a LEO or even a Fed provides them. If you don't mention it or show your card, by law it can't be verified.

They don't need a warrant to knock at your door and scare the sh!t out of you...only to enter, if all doors are closed. That's why a PO Box is a great investment.

:yeahthats
ok how is a po box a great investment..dont you have to show valid id to get a po box..? and if you are going as far as getting legal or getting a card why would you look to lie about certain info..dont you think lieing will only make things worse when they do find out.? if you have to lie then their is prob good reason for that and even more reason to look into you and what your doing..and if your going to lie why get the med card anyway? med cards are for sick people and people in real need so why would an honestly sick person need to lie on any form etc?
