Man...I want a real camera....That looks REALY nice there JBomber.
Thought you were talking about hemp and not canna. I heard there was a patch of hemp being grown in the San Luis valley that was contracted by US Hemp Oil. I talked to Chris Boucher at USHO awhile back. Told a friend in Durango about it and he knows growers in the valley up there and said they were going to take their canna males, make a bunch of pollen and start spreading it upwind from the hemp patch(es). If hemp really takes off for sure growers will be relegated to indoors only in some areas and something like HEPA will be required. Dolores county in CO has been reluctant to allow hemp production because they feel it will promote canna production and those that know are like...WHAT? It's the opposite.the hemp is blooming heavy in Boulder County and probably other parts of the state to...personally, I'm use to cleaning weed but could be a big concern for the professional grower...better have the HEPA filters going
hey CaliGabe I managed to keep that grape ape clone alive but its already kicking into flower...I hear the harborside cut is the real thing but don't really know anything about it

I've had Grape Ape since I grew it indoors back in about 2005 and not the same thing. That's not uncommon though.
As for CO outdoor flowers talked to a close friend, since I'm now back in Cali, and he's got full term outdoor plants about 1 week from harvesting to start things off. Wish I could have stayed to see everything finish. He's been taking his light down for about a week and 1/3 left to go. All the tops down and working on lowers.
Where did I say that hemp would be grown indoors? That's nutz.No way that hemp will be grown indoors. It's not that profitable.
Your proof is where? The point I was attempting to make was 'contamination' of hemp seed stock with canna genetics. Can't remember the THC threshold that hemp needs to meet to be legal in CO so if there's 'contamination' over time then hemp will exceed the threshold.I'm sure people have been doing it with feral hemp in the midwest for decades with nothing to show for it.

I grew up smoking pot starting in about 1975. I'm 52 years old. I know what bags of Columbian and Mexican looked like. I used to buy sacks, roll doobies, sell a bunch then smoke for free. No transportation to the past needed for me to know what that scene was like . The hash was the real treat though...Lebanese, Moroccan and rarely Afghani...THAT is what I was on the lookout for. Some AWESOME Mexican flowers used to come through now and then. Definitely some bag seeds I wish I had kept yet not many.Imagine if they were transported back to the 70s/80s when bags had seeds like these

I misunderstood.
Why would you want to contaminate hemp genetics?
Hempies are every bit as much a part of the legalization movement as the rest of us, at least here in CO. Our purposes are congruent, if not identical. We're a long, long ways away from hemp pollen contamination being much of a problem. If it gets that way, it'll be drug strain seed producers who'll have to deal with it. If there are a few half hemp seeds in greenhouse sinsemilla, people who grow 'em will be mighty disappointed, I suppose.
I wonder how growers in the Midwest deal with feral hemp nearby. In some places, there's a lot of it. When I think of all the growers who lived in such places over the decades, it's hard to believe that none ever tried crossing to the feral population.
We all prefer sinse, I think, if only because it's more convenient & better value at the same price & weight as seeded pot. Being an old hippie, I find the aversion to seeds among younger tokers to be amusing at times. I think some would be less dismayed by mouse turds in the bag than by a few seeds.
Gonna try to do it how the natives did
Some of the best compost money can buy, but damn pricey. If I could afford it I'd do that and ewc 50/50. Grass fed buffalo manure aged 2-3 years (most composting companies only age their compost 6-12 months) before being bagged and unlike most every other gardening product this compost is bagged and the inside is plastic lined for better moisture retention. Truly a A+ product, IMHO.
