Guy I know on another forum was sending some clothing to another board member.

Said he was stopped by PO Officers (feds) and his packages were opened and searched. The search revealed ski clothing, but that is the first I have heard of them profiling.

I think it is dumber than hell to ship packages, but just a heads up.

If they weren't investigating him before,,, they probably are now. Might not have been previously,...... but ran a dog by the packages at the GMF (General Mail Facility)..

Smells on the clothing and all that. Kind of like paper money, most has 'residue' on it and the dogs will hit on your billfold even...Heard this from some fairly dependable sources.

Keep in mind the DEA has not had Any budget problems,,,, yet.

It's a outdoor forum. Dude doesn't grow or smoke.

Pretty sure it was just a random search, based on how he looked.

Actually... Skiing clothes?

I'd say there's a chance they were going by state of origin and the density of the contents when compared to the size package.

Not a good chance, but it's a possibility.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

I worked at the PO until a few years ago. The Postal Inspection Service didn't do random then,,,, maybe they've gotten bored? Hmmm.

They used to have their 'ducks in a row, and marching in lockstep', before they'd show a badge. Didn't used to be good news if you saw the badge. Knew a couple of them slightly and yes, they were of the straight laced, black and white, mind set.

That's as nice as I can be.

If I were him, i'd be Really careful to stay clean. jm$.02

The advantage to straight laced black and white types filling the inspection offices, they don't like making waves.

"You want me to give you a warrant to open a package that weighs three ounces... go ahead, but there had goddamned better be anthrax in there, or you're toast." Nevermind sir, false alarm.

Sounds a lil low ;) Elite cuts not making their way down to the springs?

Working with quite a few cuttings right now from Rocky Road Remedies, any experience with them being as you're in the same city?

Highly recomended by our dispensary owner, but unknown as far as i'm concerned, right now the only things looking truly nice are the Sour Diesel, the Mauii, the Ogre, and the Hashberry, other stuff from them includes Purple Elephant, Golden Skunk, Casey Jones, Durbin Poison, Grape Ape, but other than the 4 listed nothing currently standing out, hopefully once we get them all harvested and into jars we'll have more keepers than those 4.

Coincidences happen.

Back in the day I would fly with a few buds in my sock and get randomly searched all the time. Every time I'd think 'shit they know I've got weed', but they never found it.

Bobby and I got nailed in customs back in 03 coming out of Vancouver BC from the CC tokers bowl. Maybe it was the glowing red eyes, or the fact that that we smelt like we got sprayed by a skunk. Lost a bunch of glass, and a few grams of bubble. Got a fine, and on our way.

A Lil different but still a good story

So the UN has declared that 64 is in violation of international law. WE EXERCISE DEMOCRACY AND THE UNITED NATIONS CALLS IT A VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW?????? Then I dont want to be subjected to those laws.

But look at the situation a bit more critically. The United Nations hasnt seemed to raise much of an eyebrow about the United States' repeated and virulent rape of international statutes in the past, not a bit. American officials ratified Nuremberg after the second world war, and in doing so declared that, under international law, the supreme law of the land, state agression is the greatest possible crime that a government can commit. "Invasion of a State by the armed forces of another State, with or without occupation of the territory, heads the list of aggressive acts set out in article 3" (From untreaty.un.org)

But then the United States went ahead and invaded South Vietnam...and Iraq...and Afganistan.....

So what does this tell us? Well, start by asking who runs the United Nations....Its a pretty clear answer...security council, and so basically the United States. So now the UN is raising a publicized stink about legalization, all that this is is the administration created a reason for themselves to """crack down""" on peaceful, innocent citizens in our state.

Yeah, I was hoping for change, and Barack really was convincing. Now hes just turning out to be as much of a puppet as he can possibly be. What a bastardization of freedom and the principles this nation was founded upon.

So when you make the legal system democratic, you accept the fact that you might not like the outcome of the election. So how do you protect the rights of the minority? Oh and by the way, people for the legalization of Marijuana are not the minority, but have a minority share of non-democratic power $$$$$$

Folks on the national scene say Massachusetts and California will be next. After that, the Feds will have no option - that's a massive chunk of the US population.

Hawaii's state senate passed a decriminalization measure. It is now in committee in the state house, I believe.

They better light a fire under it. If democracy is federally subverted in the case of marijuana, and subverted publicly and obviously, I will add, that does not bode well for the future of this nation.

I feel where you are coming from and agree. The UN can eat a dick. But as far as I am aware, the state is still going ahead with implementing the 64 and no legal challenges from the Feds have come forward (my lawyer says 64 would hold up anyway, but I dont think federal law is exactly his area of expertise).

Its rare that I find myself in a position of optimism, but I honestly think things are still looking real real nice from where I'm sitting.

Stay lifted, CO.

I agree, I would rather it be March 2013 than March 2012 with respect to our state's laws. That said, though, the fight is FAR from over and I honestly still dont feel totally safe, even though I am growing only 5 of the allotted 6 plants (partly because I live in mesa county, wich was landslide against 64)
