Do you already have an insulated room built in there? It's gonna be mandatory to have any chance at controlling the temps.
damn your absolutely right, i just bought 4 2' 4 bulbs to put in my closet to vg with and they warm that thing up, i have been under the impression that they dont give off any heat..

Best way is to build a super insulated room within the attic and stick a window AC into the side of it. Also get a good attic vent so that the AC exhaust and fresh air venting through the light will not make the attic crazy hot.
