Coco fibres

hey everybody, im using canna coco fibres at the moe, but i want to mix it with some thing organic, just because i want to lean away from using chemical fertilizers. I like coco and have had no problems growing with it. Ideally i want a 60:40 ratio of coco to organics i just dont know what would work best???

I thought Coco was organic. Made from coconut fibres. Plus its probably the best to start off in. All natural. Just use coco coir and some organic nutes . Thats sounds all organic to me.

sorry, i worded it wrong, what i was wondering is as coco is practically inert what would be the best mix be

coco is totally inert organic medium
and if u use canna nutes for coco theyre organic too
mix with perliteand /or clay pebbles

I grow in a Coco base with perlite and the kicker.....Worm Castings (Coco at 40% Perlite at 40% and WC at 20% This being an estimate of % because I use my handful to measure the mix. 1 handful of WC to every 2 handfuls of Coco and Perlite). I use only guano teas to feed and add Thrive Alive Organic (at 4-5 ml per gallon) to every drop of water until final flush. Worm Castings provide a light constant dose of nutes that won't ever cause a nute burn. And they don't clog up the mix. Any problem I have encountered goes away with a flush of distilled water (Except a Mag. def. which I treated with Epsom Salts. I now add a little of that to a tea every 2 weeks). I do keep some organically derived ferts heavy in 1 of the 3 major nutes just in case. Good luck and good growin. Peace. Herb

PS-Coco has the least impact environmentally (to obtain and to dispose of) of the majority of substrates and the Tree didn't have to Die to obtain it.

sweet, thats just what i needed to know, thanks herb youve been a big help. will i be able to mix that with the canna coco ferts and a pk booster, i dont want to risk any nut. burn

Canna Coco Coir
50% Coco
25% Perlite
15% Mushroom Compost .8-.55-1
10% Earthworm Castings 1-0-0
1/2C of Kelp Meal per cu.ft
1/2C of Greensand per cu.ft 0-0-3

Fed with guano tea.
