Core-thanks bro, that means a lot coming from you. Have you ever been to the states? You are always welcome here in the desert if you ever want to swing through!:joint:

jamrockjay-thanks for the compliments. The dpd is such a dark purple she actually looks black in person. It is the hardest thing to describe and I'm gonna try to get some shots of her without the hps one of these days to try and capture her true colors. The dustin is pretty dense but the trainwreck is by far the most dense plant in the bunch right now.

:ying:Hey Brother Bear!:ying:

that DC is the frostiest girl I have ever grown. Gonna be jarring her up tonight and will smoke a sample tomorrow. She has a great smell to her, almost sage like.

those fungus gnats are a bitch. I had gotten completely rid of them and then the clones I was gifted had them. I was lazy and didn't get right on killing them, so they are still around.:wallbash: They aren't too bad if you keep them in check but they feed on the roots so it does hurt yield a bit. I got those Hot SHot No Pest Strips but they don't seem to be working too well. Gonna put up some sticky strips and get some neem to soak down the coco. Time to kill the bastards.

the trainwreck is the arcata cut! :woohoo:

peace

Hey Old Soul,
das sum phancy photos!
Beauty girls lookin' happy & healthy!

===============================
Good luck with your fungus gnats. :ying:

I'd try to keep the neem oil in the coco with regular, full strength drenches over the next 2-3 wks.

I irrig about every 5 days in soil & add neem to every irrig sol over a 3 wk period.

(I'm going after a small pop. of thrip larve, but it's the same strategy.)

(BTW, I haven't bothered with the DE...yet)

I don't know if you' necessarily need to add it to every irrig, but it wouldn't hurt...at the prescribed rate, that is...

I've found sticky traps ineffective as a control measure...
They're good for pest ID & population monitoring.

...lots of ways to skin a cat, tho...:joint:

Nice show, OS.

that dpd is outrageous.

I just discovered gnats in my veg area. In the past I've used apple slices on the soil, the method is explained around here somewhere.

Good luck with them little bastards.

Hey de Toke-ville, thanks bro! So what's with the apple slices? Just cut some up and place them on top of the coco or what? Do you think it will work with coco? If you got a link, I would appreciate it. Got some apples handy so it would save me a trip to the store.

peace

Okay, so I feel kinda stupid 'cause it's been 5 years and I forget exactly how it works, but I remember that either the gnats lay their eggs in the apple or the larvae are attracted to it after they hatch. But in any case after a couple three days almost all of the fuckers will burrow into the apple slice and you just throw it away.

From memory, it seemed like it got rid of almost all of them. I think I saw one or two flying around but they never came back in force--at least for that grow.

I just sliced the apples into 8ths and laid them down on the soil, then waited three days. If I missed something maybe someone will let me know, but that's how I did it before--and will try it again too.

Been way too long since I updated this thread. A friend of mine was in town last week so I didn't have time for pics. For now I have some dry shots of Deep Chunk and Trainwreck. Will try to get some pics of what is in flower tonight.

The Deep Chunk has a nice herb like smell to it. Very pleasant, smooth, with a great stone. The smell reminds me a bit like sage.

The Trainwreck has a great lemon cleaner smell to it and has a nice soaring high that gives you that almost "too high" feeling. I love it! Killer daytime smoke for sure.

easyrasta-:smile:always a pleasure bro! can't wait to smoke it with ya.:rasta:

jamrockjay-thanks bro!

JACKtheREFFER-:ying:Welcome to the thread bro! Pull up a chair if you like. That dpd is one sick plant for sure. She smells like candy and is so dark purple, definitely the prettiest plant I have ever grown. This is my first run with her so I can't wait to get a taste. I mostly prefer green strains usually but she is special for sure, plus my wife would never let me get rid of her just cause purple is her favorite color. :smoweed:
