That makes me feel better. It was late, I was stoned out of my gourd, and I just assumed they were made of the same material based on the price point.

They would have served their purpose all the same, though. I just wanted some cloth containers to keep some clones in while I pheno hunt through some beans.

Maybe if I decide to do a coco sog, the reusability of these things will come in handy. Nice to have around anyways.

I like the cloth ones cause you can be more lax on watering. Throw a bunch of water in there, any extra drips out into the saucer, then gets sucked back up as the soil dries. Means I don't have to go into the grow room every day, just every other day.

I didn’t think this really deserved to reside in “propagation”, but here’s some more macgyverin’ I’ve done with my sealer..

I’ve been trying to think of a practical solution to custom garden cloches for my newly rooted clones for years. 4mm overhead projector film roll. Heat seals. Heavy enough to stay put and machine a bit, light enough not to crush your plants. Surprisingly scuff, scratch, and bend resistant. $0.20 a square foot.

Haven’t gotten around to finding or designing little epocotherapy lids for them yet.. Probably just wind up sticking with Saran Wrap.

Sorry if this is terribly unexciting, but it’s been stewing in my idiot mind for years. Maybe I’m not alone.

More relevantly, here’s the stencil and standoffs I settled on..

When cutting 4” pvc with a 10” miter... finish your cuts with a backsaw.

Almost sent one of these things through my French bay window at 150 mph. With the way to pvc shattered, I can only imagine what would have happened if somebody had gotten hit in the f’n head. Lucky it hit the wooden frame and not the glass pane.

Biffed my stencil a bit. Made me sad.
