very cool i will be doing this soon.
Sweet I've always wanted to try the air layer method because for me I can grow one or two big ass bushy mother plants. Then air layer clone about 40 nice bushy branches. That way my veg time is cut down from 2 weeks to maybe a couple of days to just to let the roots get bigger. Also can I assume that they will suffer no stress like when taking clones the normal way since the air layer method never cuts the branch off the plant?
It took about a month, but I have successfully air-layered my first branch! I don't think my rooting hormone was any good, which i think is why it took so long..
Branch still attached to plant.
Roooooooottttsss!

Hey huey, just a thought, it may have took so long because you picked such a low branch. Next time try a higher branch , a branch that has some top light and not so shaded. I too sometimes have slow results with cloneing any lower branches. There just not as vigor.

Good to know thanks. I choose that branch because I figured it would be one of the lowest yielding branches of the plant. I did notice that the growth of the branch was drastically reduced compared to it's opposing branch which is about twice as big, but I guess thats to be expected since it's focusing its growth else where.
