Hi Guys,
I possibly missed a thread, but cant seem to find a procedure to clone from scratch. I ordered some killingfields and would like to set up a room for a mother plant. I understand these are not easily cloned, but heard something about some gel that get aplied to the cuttings.
Anyone cloning that can take some pics of how its done?

Go to indoor grows soil forum and look at the stickies at the top.

One of them will be jj scorpio's cloning tech.

By now, most of the questions have been answered in the stickies.

The Pontaic DIY link is useful, also.

Have a nice day. bg

I use clonex as well. Getting the hang of cloning can be a real Bitch sometimes...but once you get it...you get it!

IBA powder over clonex every day. see Krunchbubbles thread best rooting powder ever 3rd link rabbit posted above. Green Light Rooting has the best strength.

Any plant can be cloned at close to 100%, here are some ideas for success:

1.) Get a healthy plant nice and green, feed it with some flower food and or bloom formula, then let the plant grow enough to start changing from dark green to a lighter green (a sign that it is using up it's nitrogen stores).
2.) Make cuttings at this time. Make cuttings at end of day so they are about to get their dark period, this allows the cut to get some stress relief immediately after their making.
3.) Make the stem cut under water on a plate, cut at 60 degree angle, and score the stem from 1cm above the cut down to the cut end (only going through the outer layer, not too deep). (all these add up to extra area from which roots will start)
4.) Immediately dip in Stim-Root #2 (yellow) covering all cut areas and shake excess off.
5.) Have holes in your medium so the powder isn't stripped off while inserting cutting.
6.) Close hole around cutting stem for support so stems don't wobble as fragile new roots will break easily. (by inserting bits of rockwool around stem in Rwool medium or by squeezing pellets in peat medium)
7.) Place cutting in humidity dome and under not-too-bright light, fluorescents are ideal, I use T12's and the tops of the cuttings are 8 - 10 inches away from the tube. I use a mix of cool white and daylight.

I have been using this method since the late 80's and except for a few very difficult to root strains, clones are starting to root in 5 - 7 days and over 95% are done in 10 - 14 days.

I forgot to add, immediately after making place the dome in darkness for 6 - 8 hours, and start the light cycle after that.
I have always had more success with a light cycle that includes a regular dark period (18/6) than 24 hours of light (unnatural).

In a production cloning setting i also find rockwool to be the best option. Aero cloners are dope for personal use, ime/o, but 'cups o' anything' are not for scale.

24, 2x2x1.5" blocks per cut kit tray
Blocks soaked in YC (your choice) of 5.5 ph solution of whatever.
Clones cut right off plant, tips angled, stems shaved, dipped in YC of compounds, and stabbed into a hard spot around the factory drilled hole
stainless wire rack, shelves just far enough apart to get the lights and domes underneath
dry dome, no spraying dome or plants
Transpiration from the number of plants and a lil heat from the lights will have the dome fogged up in no time
Wait 1 day , day 2 turn 1 vent half way open, day 3 do the same on the other side, day 4 all the way open, day 5 the other side, day 6 pop dome and twist to alow more air, day 7 dome off, water feed only, with a little practice day 8-10 should yield retail ready roots
