Folks,
I was wondering what you all thought about a theory I had. I recently grabbe 2 clones from a mothers finest mom we keep at my buddy's place. They were put in mini rockwool blocks with Olivias solution and placed in a humidity dome. Anyway, I had them in my spare bedroom as it gets nice and warm in there. When I went to check on the humidty levels I was shocked to see that my wife's cat somehow knocked the lid off and pulled one of the clones out of the rockwook cube. Bad Kitty.... The clone was lying on the ground and it felt a little brittle. I would say it had been sitting there drying out for at least 2.5 hours . The other clone was left untouched. I had pretty much wrote the kat one off as a fatality, however, I stuck it back in the cube and resoaked. The next day it had perked back up (the leaves were noticbly droopy before). Now 3 days later - this kitty clone is showing madd roots while the undisturbed one is only just beginning to root. The only difference is the whole kat situation.
I was wondering if somehow the stress caused the plant to throw mad roots to get any and all hydration back into it's system as quickly as possible. Do you think this is realistic? I would like to try the test again but right now I dont have the luxury due to some logistics.
Whaddya think?
