clone box suggestions

Anybody have some suggestions on what I should be looking for to make a clone box?

I will be doing the DIY aero clone method posted around here, shooting for ~30-40 clones in it.

right now I am using 2 3ft long flouro's but want to try and get the clones into a light tight box since it will have to be in my flower room. I can't separate, since I want to contain it all in one room, and right now I already light sealed the closet where the mothers will be.

what type of Flouros should I be looking at for this type of thing, Those 2 3footers are out of the question as I couldn't find anything reasonable to enclose them and a aero cloner in.

I am trying to stay within 2ft tall.

My clone box is 2'd x 2'h x 4'w. I use 3 26 watt daylight cfl's. You don't need much light for clones.

go to home depot and grab a cabinet for above a range hood, there 30'' wide, 12'' deep and you can get them in different heights, has a double front door you can mount it anywhere or set it on a table, there under a $100.

Get a rubbermaid with a hinge lid, spray glue mylar on inside, screw a piece of thin wood to inside top, mount 20w flouro to wood. Done!

For clones, a single 23 watt cfl from several feet away is more than enough. Unrooted clones don't have the equipment to handle or process strong light.

thanks a lot everybody...!

i bought a small black tv table to use... It doesn't have doors, but I will just cover the one side with plastic...

the hard part now will be getting 20-30 clones to root!

I have 3 15Watt flouros im going to be using as well for it.

Fair warning. There's more than a little Voodoo involved with cloning. What guarantees success for some, guarantees catastrophe for others. Some swear domes are required, I say they're death incarnate. Whatever method you try, DON'T GIVE UP! Keep tweaking, changing, experimenting until something works for you.

Took me several attempts just to get a single survivor. Now, I can't remember the last time I lost one.

I will probably go the aeroponics route, as I've read the most success stories with that method (success as in first time success)

I'm cloning as often as I can, even though I have absolutely no use for the clones. If they root, I'll remember what I did for next time and throw them out. I advise anyone that hasn't gotten their cloning method down to do this. It's really helping me, seeing how they react to all the different mediums and treatments. Good luck!

Perfect example of the Voodoo I spoke of earlier. I have a 400% failure rate with aero-cloners and naked stems. But, I'll keep trying. One, because I refuse to believe my IC sisters and brothers are lying to me about aero-cloners. And, two, because it would be superior to my present method. IF I could get it to work.

Happy cloning.
