Climbing Cannabis Strain?

I have only heard legend of this and was wondering if there was any truth to it. The legend was that there was a clone-only strain availible in the usa that actually climbed & grew like a vine. It was apparently an ideal guerrila strain because it would be virtually impossible to spot from the air. They would plant in places where it would climbup dead trees, rocks, anything. I am talking a VINE plant people! Anyone else heard or bear witness to any strain/strains with this trait?

Dizzy doesnt grow that way, the only difference to "normal" cannabis plants is in the leaves and branching, it doesnt run like a vine or anything, if you joint hops and cannabis then it should do something special but wont flower as far as i know...peace..

I recall a thread in about 1999 at cannabisculture.com by a new, young poster named 'Jamez' or something like that, from the UK. He had pics of a plant that he was growing that looked a lot like Dizzy only more stealthy. Rather than a viney pot/Christmas tree look, his was a very wide, wild looking drooping viney BUSH with Dizzy style leaves and small popcorn type buds. Towards the base of the stem were some very small 'normal' looking cannabis leaves. This plant was supposedly grown out from bagseed of a Haze cross and according to Jamez was very potent.

The plant was to be featured in one of the early airings of Pot-Tv but that's the last I heard of it. :joint:

Interesting.

Have seen a few creeper and vine phenotypes, but never heard of or seen a true climber. Do you mean it was trained round the objects? how would it climb?

Many of the creeper phenotypes could be grown like that, like this Haze here, a creeper or vine pheno.

its an old back yard trick that maybe you got confused?

suburban growers would use lattice (sp? that white criss crossed fencing type shit people use to train vines up the sides of houses or patios etc)

they'd train the plant to weave through the holes in the fencing and it basically eliminates any marijuana plant look. unless you know what the buds themselves look like. its kinda like an outdoor scrog that you can place vertically to a brick wall. people that have backyards that can be seen into and shit like that use them.

did you maybe see a pic of something like this and get it mixed up?

In the Big Book Of Buds there's a page on Ducksfoot (another Aussie mutant strain - it has webbed leaves) and the author went on to say "other useful plants that have stealth qualities include" (blah blah blah) "and Biddy Early which can be trained to grow like a vine"

I have actually seen the biddy early trained verry well on a trellance next to a friends carport its in the middle of his back yard he wants to put up a couple more because it worked so well this summer if he does ill try to get himto post some pictures because in the big book of buds it doesnt show how well this plant can be trained.
