Honestly fella, I've not seen plants in such great condition for a while. Lovely green, clearly very happy - you'll be well rewarded for that.

I can't wait to see the out come of your GN Thai Stick. I have some I am saving to grow outside to get really huge and I can't wait. The longest strain I have ran was Ace seeds Green Haze 28 week pheno pulled at day 200. Wanted a nice round number I guess since she was taking so long. Would have finished faster if I had of switched to 10/14 earlier on. The next was Ace seeds Oldtimer's Haze 24 week pheno pulled day 170. Both turned out beautiful.

Update

Update

Sorry for the lack of activity lately. Ive been a little lazy lately with the thread and the plants. I spent the last 4 hours with them tending to their needs. The grow rooms also got an overdue cleaning. Still got to dispose of a bunch of old rootballs though. Ill take care of that another time. Im pooped for now. Ill try to get some sort of more detailed update for the GN Thai tonight if possible.

Hey Dave do you have any plans on having any terpinoid Tests done on the finished product?

As fun as it would be, no plans for it. I dont live in a friendly state unfortunately. Maybe someday I will end up in one, or my state will get its head out of its ass, but I seriously doubt it.

I can already tell you the GN Thai A in flower smells like pine-sol & lemon scented cleaner. Not my usual cup of tea, but still nice and stinky.

Those buds are excellent looking. The green haze bud structure looks very similar to TS-A in my garden. Takes forever to flower, but the buds are large and full of foxtails to enjoy.

The hue on your Oldtimers Haze @ 3 months is gorgeous. Golden-amber with touches of green here. Im jealous.

GN Thai Stick Update

GN Thai Stick Update

These first few pics are from the 20th when the plants were 56 Days from Seed, and 21 Days Flowering. Ive topped the plants heavily twice since the last update. They stretched too much and the fan leaves were reaching temperatures of 85 when measured with my IR gun from Home Depot. I couldn't raise the lights anymore, so I had to chop off 6 inches the first time, and I just chopped off another 5 or so inches earlier because the fan leaves were still heating up too much. I need to invest in some new fans for better air flow to help cool them down.

The gun is how I pretty much set my reflector height. If fan leaf temperature gets above 80 and its time to lower the canopy down some or raise the lights. If temperatures are in the low 70's, Ill raise the plants towards the light until Im approaching 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ive also had to cull Thai Stick C & D as both were showing male and female parts less than a month into flowering. The clones have been culled as well. Ill waste no time with them. This helped clear up some much needed space. I think its going to be difficult to find a pure male. Ive got one that shows male atm, with no pistils present, but its still way too early to know for sure. Fingers crossed!

Here are a few pics from the 20th.

Thai Update Continued

Thai Update Continued

Here are some pics of the Culled Thai C & D. These Thai plants have some of the largest fan leaves of any plants Ive grown since Mandala Satori, which are just beautiful plants in their own right. The leaf blades reached lengths of 9.5+ inches. Ive one plant whose middle blade is over 10 inches. That pic(s) will be coming up in the next update.

Ill miss you two, but were moving on.

Wow, those are some serious solar panels on the Thai. To bad about the hermis. Everything is looking great. Hope you get some true females and males for your breeding.
Keep up the great work
Peace GG

Awww. what a shame.

Tis indeed, but one I was already prepared for. This is the third Thai like that so far. I had one previously, whom I re-ran a second time to see if the problem persisted. Unfortunately, it did.

You're telling me! These fan leaves are under MH, and T5's only. If I had them under HPS the fan leaves would be even bigger! Id love to see just how big they can get outdoors someday.

Ive already got the true female part covered AFAIK. TS-A has been ran to 150 days as seed plant with never a single nanner. The clone is at 97 Days Flowering and the only seeds she has produced are from Mr. Nice Shit plants throwing nanners. Ill be wishing for that pure male day and night, but I wont hold my breath.

I guess Id have to buy a second pack if I dont get one in this one. Oh how terrible that would be that I would get to grow out a whole new batch of plants.

Im gonna work on a Durban Poison Update for awhile everyone. Expect something up tonight.

Afropips Durban Poison D Update

Afropips Durban Poison D Update

Durban Poison - D continues to impress me week after week. Great lateral branching from top down giving her a x-mas tree shape. She's gotten a bit taller since these pics as she's 6 days into flowering now and the stretch has begun. I hope this line doesn't have any intersex issues too.

No anise smell to speak of yet. Just your general musky smell when sniffing the DP. In a couple of months I hope to be smelling black licorice when I sniff her. I wonder how black licorice x pinesol/lemon cleaner would smell in the offspring? I imagine something down right exotic and funky.

This lady has been placed on her very own blumat now, so now all I have to do is tweak the blumats as necessary and wait. There will be some occasional feedings later on if necessary. Ive got my hanna suction lysimeter inserted into her rootball so I can monitor fertility levels on a daily basis and feed when needed. Everyone should have multiple suction lysimeters in their garden. Its the tool you've always been missing but never knew you needed it. EC meter required though to make use of the soil solution afterwards. Seriously, get yourself some of these.

Enough words. Me want PICTURES!!

Shes a fine looking girl. I love the structure of that one. It would be nice to see what she would do outside under the sun for a few months.
Cheers GG

Disposing of Rootballs

Disposing of Rootballs

Well gang, tonight I was not feeling in the mood to mix up new media, and I had these rootballs in 3 gallon containers just sitting around..I didn't exactly want to break up the entire rootball, so I did something a lil crazy perhaps.

Why not use resuse them, by cutting out the core of the rootball? Then dig out an area for my other pot to go into. Place more media around the sides of the upper container and you're gtg.

Recently I took a Shit Clone and just sat it on top of another 3 gallon rootball. I topped off the sides with a little bit of media, but I didn't bury it into the old rootball at all. Roots have grown down into the old rootball, and now they're drawing on those resources as well. Coincidentally, that plant is also my best looking Mr. Nice Shit plant Ive had in my garden in over a year...It was enough to make me want to try this with 2 Shit Clones Ive got going.

I also have two other Clones all from the same mom still in .75 gallon containers. Ill transplant them the normal way into 3 gallon containers and see how they do. I was wondering what I was gonna do with those 4 clone for awhile, but now Im settled. I can compare if having the extra container height will be of benefit. I prefer taller containers to wider ones, as wider containers result in your PWT(Perched Water Table) occupying more of your container volume vs. tall containers where it occupies less.

First 3 pics are the two clones transplanted. The last two are from another clone that is the 3 gallon container sitting on top of another one watered via blumats + CRF. Spot the Thais in the background of this plant.

super job

sorry 4 my absence but these last 40 days were crazy at work.. and it as not finished yet ..

:tiphat:

I understand pal. Ive recently changed jobs myself and my work load has gone up, but I love the job. Ive become kinda neglectful to my plants as a result, but they still are doing great.

I know Im a lazy gardener from time to time, so I try to utilize amendments that can help make up for that. Calcined DE for when I forget to water, and Osmocote for when I forget to feed. Pretty good combo for lazy gardeners out there. Since you're always working, and plant care probably suffers as a result, I would highly recommend you try it out sometime. I think you would like it.

I hope your workload lessens up sometime soon, but a fat doobie will make all your worries go away. :joint:

Afropips Durban Poison - D Day 20 Flowering

Afropips Durban Poison - D Day 20 Flowering

Its actually Day 21 now that were past midnight, but pics were taken shortly before the crossing of the midnight hour. Aside from some chlorotic bottom leaves receiving no light, she's healthy and flowering quickly. Ive measured her fertility levels on a couple of occasions lately, and they're a bit on the high side, but it will quickly decline once heavy flowering sets in.

She's still continuing to stretch atm. Another week, and it should be over I hope. One intriguing development is purple calyxes on her. If you have a good eye you can notice it in a couple of the pics. Ive had plenty of strains/varieties do it late in flowering, but never this early before. I can't wait to see how the buds develop over the next few months.

Im treating this lady as my test run before I run my remaining 6 females. I promise Ill share some pics of them soon too.

Now for the pics we've been waiting for.
