Clayill420's Winter Runs

Hey everyone been awhile since ive posted a thread but I assure you the work hasn't stopped. Finished up this years outdoor and have the first runs for the winter up and going. I took clones from some of the outdoor seed plants in hopes of findng some special phenos to play with. Started with some Chemdog IBL, SSSDH, and some KO Kush beans and grew out full packs of all. I kept clones of every plant including the males for crosses. Long story short I found a keeper pheno of each kind and proceeded to take clones first of October from the mothers to flower in November which leads us to today which is week 2 flower and the stretch is on.

Quick rundown of the flower room- 4k air cooled fresh air room on a light controler, 4in light exhaust, 8in room exhaust with filter, 5,000 BTU window unit.

Usually I run 20 plants in 5 gallon bags of promix with 48in tomato cages. Kinda had to wing it this time since I'm flowering the moms so I had to top the clones less to keep them close in height. Did a lot of topping and suppercropping of the moms to keep them low and wider than usual while allowing the clones to stretch up with one less topping than I usually like to do. Plant count is 10 KO Kush, 5 Chemdogs, 3 SSSDH, 2 blue kush from BOG. Nutes are Biobizz grow and bloom with an assortment of Nectar for the Gods products.

The Chemdog IBL pheno I kept was a nice chuncky one with the most chemmy smell. She grows fast with strong branching even without topping and has only about a 25% stretch when she goes in flower.

Last pic is her outside.

The SSSDH pheno smells like straight lemon sour funk! She is not the best yielder but is no slouch either. One of my favorite personal smokes. Haze really comes out in the stretch.

The KO kush pheno is a deceiving plant, has a very sativa leaf and growth structure but a very mellow high and super dense buds. The calyxs are small and stacked tight and she provides a great smoke.

I have found that the tomato cages help in tight spaces where you have to move plants on occasion. I'm able to tuck branches inside the cages to keep them supported and more vertical. I used them outdoors as well with two layers of trellis above them with great results.

I took some pics today as I pulled some plants out to lollipop. These kinda show how I use the tomato cages to tuck the branches upward. Room is on day 14 flower right now and stretching hard.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Been out of state the last 10 days. Things are going smooth in the room going onto week 4. Plants have finished stretching and are starting to stack buds. I will get more pics this evening but here are a few to start.

Thanks or stopping by my friend. I am not sure of the KO Kush pedigree as I was handed some fire buds labeledo as such along with two seeds. Both were female with pheno 1 being sativa dom and 2 being indica. 1 is better in my eyes as 2 got too dense outdoor. Gonna see what she does inside.

Too Dense? Is there such a thing ;)

Good work brother. Keep it growin

Haha I hear what your saying. Just made mold a concern outdoors and a pain to trim. Gonna do a big upload tonight while I water everything. Transplanted 30 clones into 1 gallon pots to begin their one month veg for the next round.

Small update as I have had a sick kid the last few days . Should get more pics tonight. Chemdog is looking very frosty and is starting to fill in her flowers. The SSSDH had a lot more trichome production early in flower outdoors but is slowly getting there. Clones have been transplanted to 1 gallon bags and fed with Biobizz and nectar for the gods. These will veg for a month then replace the plants currently in flower.
