That's what Joey had in his description that there F2's. But from what I have heard his strains are very stable. I have 3 clones that are about 3"s taller then the rest but other then that they all look the exact same. He says you will get 99.9% what you get from the original........well c
So has anyone out there ever grown Joey Weeds gear? Im looking for some reports, as this is my first go round with his chit. Also comments and all are welcome!!
I was figuring more of a magnesium def than a calcium by the looks of the spots. Usually this is common due to the amounts of calcium in tap water, and if ph is off. But I think you are using R/O water right? Also something people forget about VPD. This happens alot more in the winter though cause by the dryer air in the winter. Thats looks to be old old growth so I wouldn''t worry bout it.
Sorry never grew joeys gear, know a lot that have. Good genetics for the money.
Yes fella's I am using RO water. The spots have stopped or there spreading at a VERY slow pase. I fed with 2 straight watering of plain RO water PH'd at 6.5. And the dots started to spread it looked like. So I have come to conclusion that they need to eat. Im back on my regimen of 1 feed 1 water, Lucas formulas Ph'd at 6.5. They still look great tho, just don't want this shit to start spreading.
I sprayed last night with a bit of Epsom Salt foliar spray. I also added half strength Cal-Mag Plus to my mixture. So well see how they like that, looks like there starving for Mag to me....I'll post pics later today in a few hours.........The veins of the fan leaves are dark green and the rest of the leaf is light green, plus they are curling upward and some trying to twist........I think these are symptoms of Mag deff......
The curling upward like a taco?....That plus the brown spots is a sign of mag def. Happens with r/o water more common than tap due to all the metals are pulled out. What are you using for a micro nute? I use Pure blend grow, bloom, liquid karma, and Cal/mag. The last being important in that I use a R/O-DI machine. If I don't use the cal/mag this happens to me also.
i grew JW C-99 f2 and made myself f3's so i have C-99 for life..I still have 5 left and 6 left from a pack of GN03...Joey's C99 is TOP NOTCH..extremely fruity..wickedly potent smoke...ENJOY Maxyeild...my suggestion try and find a male and make some beans for yourself...
Nice Grow...
Yes Green, they are curling like a taco. I am using GH Lucas Formula which he says you don't need Cal-Mag but I think mine are starving for Mag. There getting there first feeding tonight..........Glad to hear about the JW C99.....I have heard it's some super shit!! Does it really give off a Sativa high>?
Ok so here are some pics of my ladies at 21 days in flower. I just got done spraying them with a Epsom salt mixture to help fix what I think is a Mag def. I posted a pic of a fan leave that shows the def pretty good. If you have any opinions Im all ears! Over all, there doing great some show a slight def and others are dark green with not a spot on them. I also added a bit of Cal-Mag to the mix.
if you are doing intense foilar feeding (do it here), may be good idea to keep ph<6.8-8.0, for foliar; ppm of solution >250.
recall that calcium is difficult for the plant to translocate; good for foliar, but only @ right ph.
hydrogen peroxide will increase ph, provide oxygen, and be deterrent for pests.
pro-tekt also will increase ph, and add silica.
couple drops of regular baby oil works as surficant.
also, even if spraying entire garden down w/ entire liter of solution (do it here), there should be NO water on leaves w/in 2-3 minutes. internal air circulation a must when foliar feeding aggressively.
dont want to foliar to the point where the stomata are closing due to the low vapor pressure deficit (high rh) that has been induced. make sure spray evaporates quickly.
foliar should be done as soon as day begins for plant, and/or possibly @ mid-day. cannot stress enough need for dehumidification/lowering of rh right after foliar. too much external water pressure on leaves will make transpiration process stop, which will lead to all sorts of issues that may not be easily isolatable as this/that.
Thanks man, things are looking pretty good in there. They are at the point now where they should really start blowing up. I shooting for 38 grams per plant to put me at 3lbs but we'll see. These girls are packing on a ton of resin at such an early age. None of my other strains were even close and I am comparing to : White Rhino (GH), Super Skunk, Cheese, and Himalaya Gold which was the best so far. That was some heavy smoke, still have 2 moms of the HG. Hopefully this Mag deff will go away!!
