Quit cigs for the third time six years ago and have been able to stay away from them thanks to weed. without the ganj there is no way I could have done it. And switching to a vaporizor four years ago has helped also . I dont cough up tar balls anymore and can taste everything and can hike and ride bikes again and not be winded right away, nice to be able to enjoy those activities again.. and my truck , house, clothes ..everything doesn't smell like shit anymore. With the money I saved from not buying tobacco I was able to set up my grow cab and dont have to spend on weed either. So basically a couple dollars a month for electricity is all my habits cost me now . And because if the. Benefits of weed I'm a calmer person and no need for docs and pharma to artificially deal with stress. So lots of benefits to dumping tobacco the list just goes on and on. My 2 c

One of the more insidious things about cigarettes, at least for me, was that whatever I did when smoking if I did the same thing about a half dozen or so times while smoking, it then became a psychological habit. After a meal, talking on the phone, driving, mowing the lawn, getting high, etc. All became triggers later on. Such that if I did those things I'd light up whether I felt a need for nicotine or not.

I know what you're saying, Hempkat, triggers everywhere. Even driving past certain spots on the road trigger me to think about it. I'm to the point now, though, where I'm only seriously triggered every two days or so. I'm well past the hardest part.

I've quit several times, but I have always suggested to myself that I can buy a pack, take one smoke out and give the rest away to someone at the store I'm at. However, the habit moves on to taking 3 smokes and giving the rest away, then taking 5 smokes and giving the rest away, then you say to yourself, 'I might as well keep the rest for myself... HOOKED AGAIN! I've been caught by that cycle several times before, and I'm prepared to turn myself down when those thoughts begin to cross my mind again.

This is the wallpaper on my phone. :) I love it as a funny reminder of how to act when it comes to tobacco.

Edibles / drinkables work better anyway. If you do it right. I wouldn't miss smoking or vaping if I can keep my tincture and capsule collection.

I've tried tinctures a bunch of times and they haven't done anything for me, edibles though are another story, I've had some good luck with them and need to learn to make my own.......

You know how to make brownies and/or cookies right? Just add some of that "special seasoning" :)

Hello all,

Quit cigarettes in Nov of 2002 cold turkey after 27 yrs ...hard but once the first few weeks were over it got way easier.

Quit combusting cannabis Apr of 2014 and have not looked back...except where I can't plug in my vape, I combust, and I find it hard on my lungs and not tasty as I remember...its good buds to be sure, just don't like the flavor of combustion anymore.

Your mileage may vary.

Minds I- You have a portable vape? I used the Arizer Solo for a solid year but ended up going to back smoking.

Quitted once again 5 days ago. Had first puff when I was 5 years old, that's when it all started. Tasted like shit and made me want to puke. Then I started again when I was 10 and smoked occasionally with friends till 12.

Didn't smoke till I was 15, my neighbourgh offered me some and all hell breaked loose. Smoked more than ever and shittier cigs I could ever buy(all that shit that was illegaly brought to country to avoid taxes and it was cheap but strong as hell. Shops didn't even sell cigs that were so potent). Fucked up my lungs real bad, had bronchitis and pneumonia several times(you know you are addicted when you MUST smoke during pneumonia). Quitted when I was 19. Didnt smoke for almost 4 years and now I have been smoking for almost a year again.

Slut by lungs, what can you do. Now I realize when they told me that it's so much easier to quit while young. Anywayz, got everything out that I wanted to say and now I can continue my cig rehab program. Happy quiting everyone! :dance013:

Hello all,

Yeah no portable vape and my EQ does plug in to the car. I have tried just a few and only briefly.

I found that the vape was not "thick" ( for lack of a better word ) as I like from my EQ.

That said, I never got the chance to use them to their best results.

In public I use a re-usable aluminum cigarette (one hit pipe) and a dugout...Stand in the middle of a crowded place and no one knows the difference. Total stealth.
